At Hattie’s Chapel Church, we take immense pride in the outstanding achievements and dedication of our youth. Among them, Kayla Griffin shines as a beacon of commitment, resilience, and service. Recently awarded a full scholarship to Winston-Salem State University, Kayla’s accomplishments extend far beyond academic excellence.

Kayla is deeply involved in the life of our church community. She actively participates in the Youth Choir, contributes to Youth Bible Study and Sunday School, and generously volunteers her time assisting the kitchen staff during church events. Her willingness to serve wherever she is needed exemplifies a spirit of selflessness and dedication that inspires both her peers and the wider congregation.

As a role model, Kayla’s influence reaches beyond the walls of our church, touching the lives of youth throughout the community. Her character and commitment provide a powerful example of how faith and service can shape a meaningful life. This influence was further underscored by her recent experience surviving a serious 4-wheeler accident—a life-threatening event that, by grace, did not claim her life. We are profoundly grateful to God for sparing Kayla, reaffirming the preciousness of her presence among us.

Kayla’s journey is a testament to resilience, faith, and the transformative power of community support. As she embarks on her next chapter at Winston-Salem State University, we celebrate not only her achievements but also the strength and hope she instills in all who know her. Her story encourages us to cherish life’s gifts and to continue nurturing the potential within every young person in our church and beyond.

Huge congratulations are in order! We are so proud of Martin Innovative Early College High School senior Kayla Griffin for her incredible achievement!!

Kayla has been officially accepted into the Fidelity Scholars Program! This prestigious honor includes a renewable 4-year full scholarship and comprehensive support as she heads to Winston-Salem State University this fall.

Being a Fidelity Scholar is a testament to Kayla’s hard work, academic excellence, and the extraordinary person she is becoming.
