Today our two pastors were unable to be with us because they were needed in Machiasport for an ordination. However, our faithful Helen Brooks was determined not to allow there to be no service at the church, so she led the service, which focused particularly on a Bible study-discussion of the Miracle of the feeding of the 5000. This was followed by singing hymns, seven in all, including the three that the pastors would have sung with us had they’ve been there, and ending with prayers, including, of course, the Lord’s prayer. There were six of us all together, and we had a wonderful time. We also enjoyed seeing our wonderful, beautiful, newly-restored tower! I hope everyone has enjoyed seeing it too!

The winter grinds on, and the Sewall Memorial Congregational Church remains closed for services out of considerations for safety and frugality! However, with Ash Wednesday just passed, we know that Palm Sunday and Easter will follow, and we’ll be meeting again to enjoy each other’s company and meet with the Lord in that beautiful sanctuary again! Until then, May the Lord be with you and bless you! 🎶❤️🙏
