Monday of Mission Week!

Our “Love Your Neighbor” mission week is off to a great start! Despite the rain, this group weeded, dug, edged, and planted a new flower bed for TAP, along with planting two apple trees and removing an old picnic table. We’ll be back to do some staining and pressure washing when the weather is more cooperative!

These numbers aren't about growing our statistics—they're about being present when it matters most. Whether standing beside an officer after a traumatic call, praying with a family in the hospital, encouraging a dispatcher, or simply listening, our mission remains the same:

To be the hands and feet of Christ while serving those who serve us all.

If anyone has extra bags at home, bring them to Church Sunday and we can take them to PCC on Wednesday. Thanks so much!

PCC URGENTLY needs grocery bags of all types: Kroger Click-List, plastic, and paper!

All of these are used regularly in the food pantry, and we are very low on all of the above.

If you have any to spare, please drop them off at our offices Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

The link below should take you to this week's Bible Lesson "Amos, A Herdsman Called to be a Prophet" from Colonial Presbyterian Church in Roanoke. The Scripture comes from the Book of Amos, chapters 1, 2, 3, and 7. The story of Amos going from a sheep breeder and a sycamore fig grower to a prophet who spoke in oracles to all of Israel is long and interesting. During his life's journey he knew people ranging from those who were poor and vulnerable to those who were rich and powerful. He called upon Israelites to remember they were God's chosen people and to return to worshiping God and making the church stand for justice and righteousness for all.
