!!IMPORTANT UPDATE: 2026 MINISTERS MEETING!!

Due to hotel availability and increased costs surrounding the Virginia Tech football game that weekend, our State Ministers Meeting has been rescheduled.

NEW DATE: Thursday, October 1 at 6:30 PM
Friday, October 2 at 8:30 AM
Valley Church | Roanoke, VA

We made this adjustment out of necessity and wisdom to provide a better opportunity for hotel availability at a more affordable rate.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:
Fairfield Inn has graciously extended the Church of God rate for October 1 at $104/night + tax. Rooms are limited, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible. Call the hotel directly and ask for the Virginia Church of God rate. The special rate is available through September 15.

MIP officially kicked off this weekend!!

We are so excited to welcome this incredible group as they begin this journey together. The last two days were filled with orientation and a meaningful time of worship and communion as they centered their hearts on Christ and the journey ahead.

Join us in praying for these interns and their supervising pastors as they walk through this process together. We can’t wait to see all that God does in and through them!

Communities along the Nepal-China border are facing devastating loss following catastrophic flash flooding. Hundreds of lives have been lost, many remain missing, and continued rainfall brings the threat of further flooding and landslides.

As search and rescue efforts continue, we ask you to join us in prayer for those affected throughout the region. Pray that the coming rainfall will not bring further flooding or destruction, for the safety of those in areas still at risk, and for families awaiting news of loved ones. May God bring comfort, strength, and provision throughout the affected communities.

Join us October 2–3 at Valley Church in Roanoke as we gather with ministers from across Virginia to worship together, strengthen one another, and anticipate what God has ahead.

!!WELCOME TO THE VACOG STATE OFFICE TEAM!!

We are excited to officially welcome Timothy and Brittany Garr, along with their two children, Delanie and Eli, to the Virginia Church of God State Office!

Timothy will be serving as our Maintenance Supervisor, bringing a wealth of hands-on experience to the position. He has years of experience in construction, has owned and operated his own tree-cutting service, and has extensive experience as a heavy machinery operator. His knowledge, skills, and willingness to serve will be a tremendous asset to our state office and properties.

Brittany will be joining us as our Cleaning Services Supervisor, helping ensure our facilities are maintained with excellence and care.

The Garrs are not only joining us as employees, they are joining us as fellow ministers and servants of the Lord. Both Timothy and Brittany hold Exhorter’s
Licenses with the Church of God, and we are thankful for a couple who desire to use their gifts and abilities to serve the Kingdom. We believe ministry happens in many ways. Sometimes it happens behind a pulpit, and sometimes it happens behind a mower, a piece of heavy equipment, a tool, or a cleaning cart. Every act of faithful service matters to God.

Timothy, Brittany, Delanie, and Eli, welcome to the Virginia Church of God State Office family! We are grateful for you, excited to have you on our team, and looking forward to all that God will do through your service.
