Tree of Life Roanoke Tree of Life is a church deeply committed to peace and social justice, locally & globally. We believe in God's & Christ's love for all, not just a select few.

We are proudly an Open & Affirming affiliate with the United Church of Christ. We meet Sundays at 11AM ET via Zoom and YouTube Contact us for details. Tree of Life is currently a small on-line interactive church with room to grow. We are Open & Affirming, barrier-free, and affiliated with the United Church of Christ (www.UCC.org). We want to include persons turned out or turned away from other

churches. We hope to attract persons desiring to add their ideas in shaping what we become. We also, welcome the LTGBQ community as 2 of our 4 volunteer pastors are a part of that community. Most of our members are involved in Social Justice around the country where they live. This gives us a common ground in our open discussions after the service as we support each other as family. Because of Covid-19 in 2020 we became a strictly on-line Church with members from across the county who participate with us. We meet interactively on Zoom but offer a Facebook Live broadcast for most of our services but you can not interact with us on that platform. Please click the Sign Up button above to get weekly emails from us and the Zoom link to join us on Sundays at 11:00 AM ET. After our service we turn off Facebook Live for our open discussions and socializing with each other. We would love to have you join our flock of good troublemakers here at Tree of Life Church. We think you're going to like it here with us. Because we are on-line, you can join us from anywhere with internet access, even as a passenger in a car or train, you can listen in, or even while taking a walk. We can go were you are. You don't have to travel to us, we come to you. How coinvent is that?

Pope Leo issued a sweeping declaration Monday on the risks of artificial intelligence in the form of a papal encyclical that runs more than 42,000 words. The encyclical calls for government regulation, retraining for workers, better education for students, protections for children and safeguards to ensure that humans — not AI models — make decisions on the use of weapons.

One of the greatest forms of healing and self-respect we can learn is understanding that our energy is sacred. So many of us were taught to overextend ourselves, ignore our exhaustion, or give endlessly without balance. Healthy spiritual living means learning how to honor both our own boundaries and the humanity of others with awareness, consent, and compassion.
