Tree of Life Roanoke Tree of Life is a church deeply committed to peace and social justice, locally & globally. We believe in God's & Christ's love for all, not just a select few.

We are proudly an Open & Affirming affiliate with the United Church of Christ. We meet Sundays at 11AM ET via Zoom and YouTube Contact us for details. Tree of Life is currently a small on-line interactive church with room to grow. We are Open & Affirming, barrier-free, and affiliated with the United Church of Christ (www.UCC.org). We want to include persons turned out or turned away from other

churches. We hope to attract persons desiring to add their ideas in shaping what we become. We also, welcome the LTGBQ community as 2 of our 4 volunteer pastors are a part of that community. Most of our members are involved in Social Justice around the country where they live. This gives us a common ground in our open discussions after the service as we support each other as family. Because of Covid-19 in 2020 we became a strictly on-line Church with members from across the county who participate with us. We meet interactively on Zoom but offer a Facebook Live broadcast for most of our services but you can not interact with us on that platform. Please click the Sign Up button above to get weekly emails from us and the Zoom link to join us on Sundays at 11:00 AM ET. After our service we turn off Facebook Live for our open discussions and socializing with each other. We would love to have you join our flock of good troublemakers here at Tree of Life Church. We think you're going to like it here with us. Because we are on-line, you can join us from anywhere with internet access, even as a passenger in a car or train, you can listen in, or even while taking a walk. We can go were you are. You don't have to travel to us, we come to you. How coinvent is that?

🙏🏾 Abba, I come with sighs too deep to name.

Open our eyes where we’ve caused harm; break through our blindness and turn our hearts back to You-the One who sees, loves, and restores.

Awaken what is numb, revive what has withered, soften what has grown cold.

Rekindle Your Spirit’s fire within us.

Have mercy for the ways we’ve failed Your heart.

Jesus, help us return, repent, rise up, and walk in Your mercy and justice, Amen.

Our faith traditions remind us that there is dignity in work and that we have a responsibility to ensure every worker is treated with dignity in return. ✊

Unions and the labor movement have taught us that environmental justice is economic justice. All people have the right to safe workplaces, living wages, affordable energy, and healthy neighborhoods free from pollution. 📣

This Labor Day, as people of faith and goodwill, let us recommit ourselves to building healthy, thriving communities where every worker is treated with the dignity and importance they deserve. 💚
