"When despair for the world grows in me

in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,

rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free."

Join us for RALLY DAY on Sunday, September 13, as we celebrate the start of our programmatic year! You can worship at 9:00 am in the Chapel or at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary, and Sunday School classes for all ages will meet between the two services at 10:00 AM. Take a look through the booklet mailed to you, or grab a copy in the Gathering Area, to learn more about the Sunday School offerings. Following the 11:00 AM worship service, join us out on the lawn for lunch and carnival fun. Enjoy live music by the David Austin Trio, a bounce house, co****le, and other games. And bring money so you can also enjoy dessert from Pop’s.

God Alive Kickoff is next Wednesday, September 9, at 4:00 PM

God Alive is open to all kids in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade and meets weekly on Wednesdays from 4-6 PM. If you have a child participating this year, plan to attend the Parents' Meeting at 4:15 PM on September 9.

From our Director of Christian Education, Leigh Sackett:

“We had our annual 4th and 5th grade kayak adventure on Sunday. This year we were on the river. I have only one good picture because we were in the water constantly together...but I can tell you what amazed me - our 4th and 5th graders never complained about anything, except for having to leave... They baited their own hooks and many took the fish they caught off the hook without hesitation. They paddled and played together... but they also explored on their own to see what treasures were around them.
In a world where all of us are so distracted by screens and schedules ... It was a true Sabbath Sunday JOY to just be with young people fully submersed in the beauty God put before them!”
