Dear Friends of Blue Ridge Reformed Church,
When we started our Bible study back in June, we had no idea what the outcome would be. Our main goal for the summer was to get to know people and to fellowship around God's Word and singing. When our Bible study ended and we decided to start meeting together for Sunday evening worship, we wanted to get an idea of whether there were enough interested people in the area to create a viable church plant.
We have had a small, but regular group worshiping throughout the Fall, but, with the end of the year rapidly approaching, we had to make a decision about the future of Blue Ridge Reformed Church.
At this time, we have decided to discontinue the Sunday evening worship services in Botetourt. We may make another effort at a Roanoke plant at some point in the future, but now doesn't seem to be that time.
I'd like to thank those of you who have met with us, worshiped with us, and prayed for us. It has been a blessing to be a part of this endeavor. The Lord is good, and His timing is right even when it trumps our plans.
Blessings in Christ,
Rick Davis
