Pastor Carolyn Blackwell-Price had to speak at a luncheon on Saturday, October 25, 2025 for a 23rd Pastoral Anniversary. The church also honored Breast Cancer Awareness by wearing shades of pink.

Topic: Spiritual Growth and Development:
Don’t Stop Growing

Motto: If you’re not growing, then where are you going?

Pastor spoke about being Spiritually “STUCK”: This will stop you from Spiritually Growing
She spoke about what each letter of the word “S.T.U.C.K.” (used as an acronym),represented.

Pastor Price explained the 7 Keys of Spiritual Growth:
1. Praying and Fasting
2. Reading the Bible/Scripture
3. Fellowshipping with other Believers
4. Serving others/actively serving and ministering to the needs of others
5. Worshipping and Praising God
6. Repentance /Accountability
7. Cultivating a personal relationship with God Almighty

Saunja Price and The Daisy Award

The Daisy Award is a prestigious award given to, in Saunja's case, nurse leaders who create a work environment that supports compassionate care. This precious award is awarded through nominations submitted by patients, families, and colleagues who have witnessed a nurse's exceptional work ethic for patients and colleagues. The selection committee reviewed the nominations and decided Saunja was recognized for her subtle way of taking care of patients and their loved ones, she went above and beyond her job description, and demonstrated exceptional empathy and compassion. Nurse Saunja was pinned and given a certificate along with other great accolades. The Daisy Award is important as it acknowledges and celebrates the vital role that nurses play in providing compassionate and effective care not only to patients, but also to their families. The Daisy Award highlights the importance of the nurse-patient relationship and the impact of nurses' empathy and connection.

Pastor Price brought a word to the people on 2/9/25! The title of the sermon was, “Will Thou Be Made Whole?” First, she reminded the people of who they are and the abilities that are instilled in them, but only if they are believers and have given their lives to Christ! Luke 10:19 tells us about our abilities to defeat the enemy!

Pastor came from John 5:1-18. “Will Thou Be Made Whole?”
In order to be made whole, “You must stop sinning! God gives you choices, but you choose to continue breaking the commandments!” (Pastor Price)

You cannot continue to be a repeat offender of the same sins over and over again! Can’t you see that there is no progression in your life! You keep going down the same rabbit holes because you refuse to change! Pastor Price proposed the question, which is a yes or no question. It is your choice! Will thou be made whole?

It is so easy to see things that are wrong in the lives of others snd have gossip sessions. What about what is wrong in your life? What about taking a long look in the mirror at yourself! Pride brings destruction, embarrassment, and shame! “When pride cometh, then cometh shame: But with the lowly is wisdom” (Proverbs 11:2). “A man's pride shall bring him low: But honour shall uphold the humble in spirit” (Proverbs 29:23).
