Hi, everyone! We are looking forward to Snow White auditions coming soon and hope to see you there!

I just wanted to share a few words on what inspired me to write this version of Snow White.

Throughout these years of writing plays and all of the fairytales that I have written Christian adaptations for, I never thought about writing Snow White until last fall. In the fall time, my kids and I were reading a book on Courageous Heroes, and it really got me thinking about how these people throughout history stood up for what they believed in, even when it was difficult or scary. I thought, as a parent, if there is one thing I could teach my kids, it would be to stick strong with what they believe, even when it's hard. Then, I had this idea to apply it to Snow White. This play is only very loosely based on the Snow White fairytale.

Our princess has a heart for evangelism, and, through her faith, she inspires many characters in their own journey of faith as well.

For this Snow White, the most important thing to her is to follow where God is leading her, even if she doesn't understand it, and to put her faith and trust in God through it all.

I hope this play inspires kids, teens, and everyone to stand strong in what they believe, even when it's difficult.

I am excited to share this play with everyone!

We hope to see you soon!

Hi, everyone! Below is a brief synopsis of our Snow White play.

Snow White Synopsis

Once upon a time, there was a king and queen who were good rulers and followed God. Unfortunately, the queen passed away when their daughter was very young. The king remarried, but, this time, he married a woman, who did not love God. When the king passed, he left behind a young daughter, and his daughter was left to be raised by her stepmother. The young girl, Princess Beatrice, loved God and had a heart for missions. She would tell everyone about Jesus.

The new Queen lost her faith when she was young. As a child, her sister had fallen ill, and despite praying that God would heal her sister. Her sister died anyway. The new queen was determined with her new role as queen that she would remove any trace of God in the kingdom. She closed all the churches. She took all the Bibles and banned them. But nothing would discourage Princess Beatrice from continuing to share her faith. Beatrice would go to the village and hold Bible studies with the children. She told her guards Bible stories. She continued to tell her stepmother. The queen was furious and tried everything to discourage Beatrice from sharing her faith. She started calling the princess names, such as Snow White, because Beatrice told people that sin makes our hearts dirty, but God can wash our hearts and make them as white as snow.

The queen continued to make life worse for Beatrice. She locked her up in the castle. She made her become a servant, so she could no longer tell the villagers about God, but Beatrice just continued her ministry within the castle walls instead.

The queen finally had enough. So, she told the Huntsman to take Beatrice to the dark forest and dispose of her for good. The Huntsman felt compassion for Beatrice and just left her in the woods. Beatrice shared one last Bible story with the Huntsman before he left her. Then, she was all alone but not for long because God knew exactly what she needed and who needed her. Some forest animals lead Beatrice to a cottage in the dark woods, where some children were taking shelter. The kids didn’t know how to fend for themselves, so Beatrice teaches them how to survive in the woods and shares God with them. The kids give their lives over to God as well.

A visiting Prince from a nearby country decides he is going to rescue Beatrice from the dark forest and heads into the dark forest to improve his name. He has always felt that his life was missing something. Maybe he was made for the purpose of saving this princess. His cousin is not happy to be forced to tag along.

As the prince and his cousin set out on their journey, the Huntsman feels guilty for following the evil queen blindly for so long and speaks to Beatrice’s servant friend, Iris. Iris tells the Huntsman that God is trying to tell him something and that he needs to follow God’s leading. The Huntsman and guards decide to give up their jobs in the palace and head to the village to bring the people back to God.

When the queen finds out that the Huntsman failed her orders, she is furious and decides to follow the Prince into the woods to destroy Beatrice herself.

The Prince and his cousin meet two of the children in the woods, who have become Beatrice’s friends, and convince them to lead him to the princess so he can return her safely home. Unfortunately, the queen was not far behind. She means to grab the princess by surprise but fails in her attempt with Beatrice’s many friends to help her.

With her failed plan, the queen expects Beatrice to be angry. Instead, Beatrice offers her forgiveness and reminds her that God can change anyone. Will the queen pursue forgiveness, or will she remain stuck in her bitterness forever? Will Beatrice ever return to the castle?

We hope you join us to find out how the story ends!

Evil Queen (99 lines): She is queen of the land and stepmother to Beatrice/ Snow. She is mean and stern. She has let the bitterness in life overtake her. She must be strong and authoritative, and she must be somewhat conniving as well.
Mirror (52 lines): A talking mirror. This part can be either male or female. The mirror talks to the evil queen and is rather sarcastic and is more of a comedic part.
Huntsman (80 lines): Most of the time he is more stoic, resolving to follow orders. But he also starts to realize the tasks he is given are not morally ok, and he starts to question more and more. He is more of a serious character.
Lottie (48 lines): She lives in the town. She is a talker and likes to gossip. She is a comedic character and has more over-the-top reactions. Lottie and Mable are best friends. They do everything together. Their lines should flow as if they are a continuation of each other’s sentences.

Prince Henry (115 lines): He is Prince Henry He goes through a change. His character starts off as having a mask of pride. He is supposed to be a funny character, over the top, thinks highly of himself. However, as the play goes on, he drops more of his mask and begins to reveal his true struggles. He has a lot of longer lines in the salvation scene.
