What Is Maundy Thursday?

Today is Maundy Thursday, the day we remember the Last Supper—when Jesus shared a final meal with His disciples before His crucifixion. The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin “mandatum,” meaning commandment. It reminds us of Jesus’ words: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just as I have loved you” (John 13:34).

On this night, Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, showed the depth of His love, and gave us the gift of Holy Communion. Maundy Thursday invites us to pause, reflect, and remember the humility, sacrifice, and love of our Savior.

Faith Fellowship friends—did you know that the Wind River Heritage Center here in Riverton is currently hosting a “Voices of the Wind” Art Exhibit featuring stunning work from local Native artists and historians?

This is a unique opportunity to experience the rich history, creativity, and stories that have shaped our beautiful Wyoming home. It’s a great outing for families, small groups, or anyone who wants to learn more about the people and land we’re blessed to share.
