The Day the Sun Danced: The True Story of Fatima


In 1917, three shepherd children — Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta — were out in the fields when the Blessed Mother appeared to them in a radiant light. Not just once, but again and again, entrusting them with messages of prayer, penance, and peace for the whole world.

Most people didn't believe them. But God had a plan.

On October 13, 1917, before a crowd of nearly 70,000, the sun spun, changed colors, and plunged toward the earth — witnessed by people miles away. No one could deny it!

Mary had chosen three ordinary children to carry an extraordinary message: pray the Rosary every day, offer sacrifices for sinners, and have devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

What might she be asking of you?

This weekend is the 5th Sunday of Easter and in this Sunday's Gospel reading we'll hear Jesus say, "I am the way and the truth and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me." (Jn 14:6)

Dear Jesus,
Be the Good Shepherd in my life.
Help me to know your voice and to respond.
Help me to find your fold and the paths on which you lead.
