THANK YOU ELM ACRES AND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SE KANSAS
The ‘Back to Basics’ grant was awarded to First Baptist Church Riverton by the Elm Acres at Risk Organization in March of 2025. With the guidance of Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas, we were able to complete the grant in March of this year. We are humbled to be a small part of making a big difference for our students.
Through the grant we were able to provide nontraditional school needs for students in Riverton, Galena, Baxter Springs and Columbus. Over 50 students benefitted from the grant.
Items provided were welding gloves, helmets, protective footwear, outerwear, underwear to mention a few.

First Baptist Church Riverton would like to thank the Community Foundation of South East Kansas for it’s support of our food pantry.
Through the generous grants awarded by the foundation the food pantry was able to provide food to those in Riverton, Baxter Springs and Galena Kansas facing a food insufficiency.
Food purchased through Kansas Food Bank provided assistance to 2051 individuals.

We accept donations directly to First Baptist Riverton, and we encourage donations to the Community Foundation of Southeast Kanas to support the many programs they support

It's No Fret camp time again. Each year we host a No Fret Guitar Camp. We have room for 5 students middle school-high school. Trey Shannon is our instructor. Classes will be June 16-20 9:45 to noon at First Baptist Church in Riverton. Please contact Ethel Jordan at 620 848 3347 for more info.

No Fret Guitar Camp works with churches to provide underserved youth with hope, joy and connections to Jesus Christ through the lifetime gift of music by providing free lessons and free guitars. Over 450 youth have been served so far at 70 churches in 6 states.

Due to the condition of our parking lots and concern for our congregation First Baptist Riverton will not be having church service today. See you all next week.
We trust the parking lots will be clear Wednesday Feb 26th for commodities. If you registered for the 19th please use the same time slot and registration number .
