How often do we pause long enough to notice the goodness of God around us?

Giving thanks slows our hurried hearts, opens our eyes to recognize His gifts, and deepens our joy in the ordinary blessings of each day. And above every good gift, gratitude directs our hearts back to the greatest gift of all: Jesus.

Waiting can feel like nothing is happening. But even in the silence, God is working.

He is never hurried, never late, and never absent. His timing is perfect, His purposes are good, and His promises are sure.

If you’re waiting on the Lord today, take heart: this season is not wasted, and you have not been forgotten. Trust the One who sees the whole story, even when you can only see this moment.

"Tune my heart to sing Thy grace."

Some hymns don't simply teach us theology—they become prayers we carry with us.

This beautiful line from Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing reminds us that our hearts don't naturally drift toward gratitude or worship. Left to ourselves, we wander. Yet God, in His grace, continually draws us back to Himself.

May this hymn be your prayer today: "Lord, tune my heart to sing Thy grace."
His grace is sufficient. His mercy is new. And His love for His people never fails. 💙

This week on Haven Today, we've been in the book of Job. Job's story reminds us that suffering is real, but it is never the end of the story.

Our hope isn't found by looking within ourselves or by placing our confidence in others. Our hope is found in Jesus, who entered into our suffering, defeated sin and death on the cross, rose again, and promises to be with His people always.

If today feels especially dark or you're walking through a season of suffering, may this reminder encourage your heart:

Even on your darkest night, you will see again the dawn of a new day.

When life feels heavy, our emotions can make it difficult to remember what is true. But God’s promises do not change with our circumstances.

If you are carrying anxiety, fear, discouragement, or a burden that feels too heavy today, slowly read through these verses and turn them into prayer. You do not need to find the perfect words. You can simply come to Jesus as you are and ask Him to renew your heart, strengthen your faith, and help you rest in His care.

Stress and hopelessness do not have the final word. Our hope is found in Christ alone. 💙
