This Sabbath we celebrated messages that were focused on God's plan for our men, and by extension for all of us. We opened with a Friday night Vespers Service unlike any other, where testimonies and the inspired words of Pastor Jason C. North Sr. taught us the rewards that come from mentoring and being mentored. We cannot take anything with us when it is our time to go, so the legacies we receive and those that we leave, should always be rooted in what God wants for us.
At our Saturday morning Church Service, we were moved by the intercessory prayer lead by Ralph Jones, which gave us the opportunity to see our men and boys stand around our entire church in the way that we pray they will always stand up for God.
We were also taught by Pastor North once again how to be "Fishers of Men" in that we must continue to be as open and loving and supportive of others regardless of which walk of life or background they hail from. No matter what we must continue to show the world God's influence in our lives.
As we closed out the Sabbath on Saturday night, we experienced a special dessert from Elder Wayne Skinner, who was pivotal in ensuring this weekend happened in great style and with great impact. Being able to go bowling and spend some recreational time with one another built upon the lessons we learned this weekend. As a family we learned to continue to support one another as teammates rather than compete against one another, because in the end we are all on one team: God's.
We wish you the best in your endeavors this week and pray that we will all continue to grow in Him as we prepare to meet again next week.
