Yesterday, Roma and Devon signed, in the presence of this congregation, the Declaration of Intention to marry. Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare for Holy Matrimony.

The Declaration reads:
“We, desiring to receive the blessing of Holy Matrimony in the Church, do solemnly declare that we hold marriage to be a lifelong union of husband and wife as it is set forth in the Book of Common Prayer. We believe it is established by God for the procreation of children, and their nurture in the knowledge and love of the Lord; for mutual joy, and for the help and comfort given one another in prosperity and adversity; to maintain purity, so that husbands and wives, with all the household of God, might serve as holy and undefiled members of the Body of Christ; and for the upbuilding of Christ’s kingdom in family, church, and society, to the praise of his holy Name.”

This week, Grocery Outlet in Jurupa Valley generously donated 15 dozen eggs to Christ’s Chapel Anglican Church.

Those eggs won’t go to waste—Phil will be putting them to work at our Sunday coffee hour, where a simple meal becomes an opportunity to gather, talk, and share life together. He also will be donating several dozen to a local food bank in Riverside.

Thank you to for your generosity, and to Phil for your faithful service week after week.

Praise God for the safe delivery of Juniper as well as for preserving Destiny through the pains of childbirth. The service for the “Churching of Women” was included in our Sunday worship last week to thank God for his abundant mercies on the Sawdy family!

Our monthly Theology on Tap is meeting tonight at 7pm at Brew Haven in Ontario (3430 East Ontario Ranch #5, Ontario, CA 91761).

This Good Friday join us as we enter a time and space dedicated to fixating our eyes on the cross.

Before we celebrate life on Easter, we first grieve death. This death was on Good Friday and it was death on a cross.

“For me, kind Jesus, was thy incarnation, thy mortal sorrow, and thy life’s oblation; thy death of anguish and thy bitter passion, for my salvation.”

Together, let’s not skip over grief to get to Sunday, but rather slow down and look at Jesus - love measured in its fullest.

Thinking of attending a Maundy Thursday service?

Join us this Thursday at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall for our Maundy Thursday foot-washing service.

Clean towels and water will be provided as clergy wash the feet of our parishioners. You only need to show up as you are as we participate in remembering Jesus’s final gift and command to his disciples during the Last Supper.
