First United Methodist Church of Riverside This is an active branch of the United Methodist Church offering hope and good works to Riverside. We have meeting rooms for community groups. Sunday mornings.

We have a hybrid worship service with both traditional and contemporary music; activities for children, including a Chime Choir and Sunday school, and we have a youth group with regular meetings. There is an award winning preschool right on our property, a large sanctuary and Fellowship Hall for church activities, weddings and memorial services. Please come visit us in person or online via Facebook Live at 10 a.m.

Sharing just a few pictures from today’s service, taken by Rev. Bev. We celebrated a longtime commitment to Heifer International, we sang together, Pastor Kim started a new sermon series, Christina offered a lesson for the children, we felt grateful for the musicality of Yvonne Flagg and the scripture reading of Steve Kerrick. What else? Did you make it to The Habit after church?

Let the water of faith refresh you Sunday at 10 am in the sanctuary or online. Pastor Kim will preach, Steve Kerrick will read the scriptures. Yvonne Flagg is singing. After church we can head for The Habit as a fundraiser. The table is set!

God of comfort and courage,
we lift up Nepal and the Tibetan region tonight —

the families searching for loved ones still missing,
the rescuers climbing into danger to bring people home,
the communities standing in mud and grief where villages once stood.

Be near to those who wait for news.
Strengthen the hands of every responder.
Hold the dead in your mercy, and the living in your peace.

Move through your people now —
open our hearts, our hands, and our resources
toward those who have lost everything.
