We at Ascension are so excited to host WAVEFORM on May 17 to close out our 2025-2026 Concert Series!

Hailing from right here in Chicago, Waveform, Chicago’s newest vocal group, “brings incredible artistry and skill to diverse repertoire. Featuring the city’s top talent and most experienced singers, Waveform performs a ca****la and/or with rhythm section, covering Motown, Pop, folk songs, gorgeous ballads and seasonal favorites.”

Join us May 17 at 4pm in the sanctuary at Ascension Lutheran Church, 400 Nuttall Road, Riverside, for a concert you will not soon forget. Attendance is free and open to the public; donations encouraged.

The 2026 Ascension Lutheran Concert Series continues Sunday, March 22 with a gorgeous handbell concert featuring Larry and Carla Sue! We hope you’ll join us!

The handbell duo of Larry and Carla Sue have been called “West Michigan’s smallest handbell choir!” They both began playing handbells in 1987 – Larry in California and Carla in England. A handbell festival in Michigan brought them together and they married in 2012. This amazing duo perform music that requires just 8 handbells. Their program consists of a wide selection of hymns, folk songs, and classical compositions. Larry is a much-published handbell composer/arranger and arranges all of their repertoire.

Join us at 4pm on 3/22/26 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 400 Nuttall Road, Riverside. Our concert series is free and open to the public; donations are encouraged but not required. We hope to see you there!

What a fun and delicious night! Our 2026 Taco Dinner was a huge success. Together, we raised $1,225 to support refugee efforts in Riverside and our surrounding communities.

A highlight for our kids was the piñata :) Thank you to everyone in our church family for shopping, cooking, baking, selling tickets, and tackling cleanup!

We are so grateful for the amazing community at Ascension Lutheran Riverside!

Please bring your family and friends to Ascension Lutheran on February 28, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for our annual RefugeeOne benefit. Enjoy tacos made “your way” and all the fixings, desserts, and soft drinks for your ticket price of $15 per person ($20.00 at the door) and $5.00 for children under 12.
