FEAR NOT- Μὴ φοβοῦ
A phobia is usually an irrational fear we have of spiders, water, heights, and even God. So it is fitting that the Christmas message to those who first heard it, was :FEAR NOT! In grammar, this statement is a present tense verb and is imperative- a command. When there is fear, we hoard and live as though there’s not enough, whether health or provisions. So how do I know when I am not acting out of fear? I tend to be more generous in giving my resources, time and skills. If I am not afraid, I take risks for the kingdom of God in service and giving. Are you afraid? Look at your giving. This is your answer.

Fear Not Zechariah
13 But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John. God is not here to write your eulogy but rather your doxology. You’ve been promoted. Congrats

Fear Not Mary
30 “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! God is not here to ruin your life but to raise it to a new level of glory. Girl, you going places!
Matthew 1:20 (NLT)- Fear Not Joseph
20 As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. God is not ignoring your reputation by you this Baby. He is enhancing your life and reputation. Who else can say, “that’s my son- God Himself!
Luke 2:10 (NLT)
Fear Not Shepherds
