You are spiritually matured when someone has been ugly to you, cussed you out, hurts your feeling, breaks your heart and you totally forgive them and don't say "They will get it back".
As Christians we say we "forgive" but can't wait to see the punishment we think God is going to give that person for hurting us.
Do these words sound familiar? I want them to feel the same hurt I'm feeling
I'm sure many of us have felt that way. It's time for us as Christians to do a "new thing" by trying to have an authentic forgiveness. When we are at a place where we can pray for someone who has hurt us and not tell God "let them see how they hurt me" but ask God to let his will be done, we may be developing into being that mature Christian.
Am I saying it's easy, NOOOOOOOO ….but usually when we ask God to prove a point so the other person can see it, remember. the other person maybe asking God to do the same thing. Who will he answer? So we need to ask God to let his will be done.. And by the way, for me and if you be real with the Kingdom Girl, sometimes asking God to let his will be done can become very challenging because if the truth be told many times we don't like "His will" for our life.
Example: We are in love with Poochie...they are a Christian just like you but God doesn't see them as a good fit for you so he tell you to end the relationship..
Example:
You are working on a job that pays you very well but God tells you to leave that job because he has something better for and the better is not more money!
So now because we sometimes don't like God's will for our life even though we know it's the best will, we must now pray and ask God to help us want and accept his will.
Trust in God with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding....Proverbs 3:5
Trusting can be hard sometimes but if we pray for each other we may be able to trust God in our own situations!
