What a powerful Sunday as we were led into God’s presence through worship by Pastor Tifannè McGhee and encouraged by a timely word from our very own Professor Marlissa Phillip. The service was filled with faith, wisdom, and a reminder of God’s continued work in our lives.

Through heartfelt worship and an inspiring message, we were challenged to grow deeper in our walk with Christ, trust God’s purpose, and remain steadfast in His calling. Thankful for everyone who joined us as we worshiped, learned, and fellowshiped together.

Join us for worship:
- Sunday at 10:00 AM | 2195 SR 138, Riverdale, GA

🔥 This Pentecost was marked by substance and encounter over tradition.

📖 We began by learning that Pentecost is the fulfillment of God’s promise. It is significant biblically, spiritually, prophetically, and culturally. Pentecost was never merely an event to be celebrated. It was a promise to be received.

⚡ From there, we explored that the power of Pentecost is practical. The Holy Spirit was not given simply for church gatherings or religious expression, but for everyday life. Pentecostal power is power to witness, power to disciple, power to live, power to learn, and power to become more like Christ.

🙌 There is nothing wrong with liturgical expression. We worship, we rejoice, we pray, we celebrate. Yet Pentecost did not come merely to produce moments. It came to produce people who reveal Christ in the earth.

🌱 Pentecost is seed.

The Spirit was poured out as a beginning, not an ending.

🌾 And if Pentecost is seed, then Jubilee is harvest. Pentecost empowers us to sow the life of God into the world around us. Jubilee reveals the return, restoration, freedom, and fruit that God intended from the beginning.

✨ Promise fulfilled.
⚡ Power received.
🌱 Seed sown.
🌾 Harvest returned.

🙏 Lord, let us not stop at Pentecost. Lead us all the way to Jubilee.

🔥 Pentecost Sunday Recap 🔥

What a powerful Pentecost Sunday at Mission Church!

We were blessed to hear from both Pastor and First Lady as they unfolded two vital dimensions of Pentecost: the Promise and the Power.

Lady LaRonda Sumo ministered from the theme “The Promise of Pentecost,” helping us see that Pentecost did not begin in Acts 2. She walked us through the Old Testament foundations, revealing how God had been pointing His people toward this moment for generations. From the Feast of Weeks to the prophetic promises of God’s Spirit being poured out, we were reminded that Pentecost was not an accident of history but the fulfillment of God’s eternal plan.

Pastor Elisha Sumo followed with “The Power for the Practical,” challenging us to rethink how we view the power of God. The power of Pentecost is not merely for church services, emotional moments, or spiritual demonstrations. God’s power was given so believers can live transformed lives every day. The same Spirit who empowers preaching, prophecy, and ministry also empowers obedience, wisdom, witness, forgiveness, stewardship, relationships, work, and daily victory.

Together, the messages reminded us that Pentecost is both a promise fulfilled and a power supplied. God kept His Word, poured out His Spirit, and equipped His people to live as His witnesses in the earth.

🕊️ The Promise was given.
🔥 The Power was received.
🌾 The Harvest remains before us.
