The events and the stories from the life of Jesus Christ teach so many important lessons, especially those days that are celebrated at Easter time.

He had patience for those who don't understand as He did.

He endured many hardships.

He freely forgave those who treated Him poorly.

And He asked us to simply believe.

What other words would you use to describe Easter?

Our community needs your help. There is a food drive happening Saturday. Invite friends and neighbors with stake boundaries. If you don't have food to donate, consider donating money online.

Matt 25:37, 40 "Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and have thee drink?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

"Women of Faith and Culture on the Farm" is a 55-minute multimedia tribute to Ruth S. Ricks. She is the granddaughter of Thomas E Ricks, one of the first settlers in Logan and founder of Ricks College, now BYU-Idaho. The tribute, written by her grandson, Rockie Ricks, tells her amazing story through song, dance, readings and a visual slideshow. Words for the songs were adapted from her own poetry.

I've seen this question a few times and my response is always "ministering." Ministering is Christlike caring for others. Ministering creates a village. And I don't mean ministering as in completing your assignment to visit someone. Ministering assignments are a way to ensure that all are cared for and no one is forgotten.

True ministering is trusting friends and neighbors to help and care for you and your family, if you allow them to. It's asking for help when needed and helping when and where you can. Ministering is filling a need.

Because of ministering my village has provided: a babysitter, a driver, a shoulder, a smile, a meal, a pick me up, and more. It turns neighbors into friends. It shares burdens too heavy for one to handle.

Share with us how you have been ministering or what ministering you have received.

Has life felt hard lately? Sometimes we have challenges not as punishment but as ways to increase growth. Other times, it's a challenge about our ability to endure.

During these times, do you complain? I do. But I keep trying to move forward. I keep trying to do the things Heavenly Father has asked me to do. I strive to keep my covenants and look forward to when the joy feels sweet because I know what struggling bitterness feels like.

Recently Sister shared in her social media an idea for celebrating 180 years of Relief Society.

Next month "the Relief Society will celebrate its 180th anniversary. What better way to honor its mission of extending the pure love of Jesus Christ into the world than by joining a service project in your community?"

She invited us to:
1. Create a free account on JustServe.org.
2. Invite a friend to register on JustServe.org.
3. Find a project in your community on JustServe.org and complete it with someone you love.

How will you celebrate the 180th anniversary of Relief Society?

This is Jackson. When it's his turn to pray, he always thanks his Heavenly Father for every member of the family... by name. If he thinks he forgets someone, he repeats the names to ensure no one was forgotten. Even though he doesn't always act like he's grateful, he always says it out loud to God.

He also includes his own name. He is grateful for himself. And while he may not understand the importance of this, it speaks volumes to me.

Children have such a simple way of sharing profound truths. I'm grateful Heavenly Father gave us families, even when they fight and disagree. We are better because of our associations. I'm grateful for prayer so I can talk with my Heavenly Father and strengthen that relationship.

Sister Allison Jossie shared "Noah was a prophet... he warned and the rains came.

President Hinkley was a prophet... he warned and the rains came ten years later.

We were living in Ogden in our first home. We felt that we should save. Our home was within our means. We had talents and education to fall back on. The recession hit and Aaron lost his job at Hill Air Force Base. The stormy weather affected us, but we were OK. We never went into debt. He worked at odds and ends jobs. I taught at a long term sub job. We felt peace with our decision to pursue law school. We were in our "ark" with the prophet.

Today I felt "portent of hard times ahead" run through my mind. I googled it and found the guidance from President Hinckley in this article above. He warned of the very thing that caused the recession. He gave time for people to prepare.

President Nelson is warning us to strengthen our spiritual foundations. He's calling out to us just like the prophets did before. The rains will come. I want to be ready. How cool it is that we have the gift of the Holy Ghost to help us know where we might be weak. There is safety in following the prophet."

What are you doing to strengthen your spiritual foundation?
