Tot Shabbat with Ms. Jessie is held one Shabbat a month, begining at 10:30am. It includes time for the adults to schmooze (chat) and for a short, age-appropriate service for the children, allowing both parents and kids to make and strengthen connections.

Our goal is for the youngest members of our community to experience the joy of Shabbat, and we welcome both long-time members and those just checking us out.

Tot Shabbat is continuing this summer, 2026, on Saturday, June 13 and July 18.

Oak Park Board of Trustees officially proclaimed May as Jewish American Heritage Month to honor the historical and cultural contributions of Jewish Americans to the community and to reaffirm the village’s commitment to standing against antisemitism.

Rabbi Glick, temple member Michael Zmora (the unofficial historian of the Har Zion 75th Anniversary celebrations), and frequent Har Zion visitor Sandra Sokol attended the program, at which Rabbi Glick spoke. (In the photograph: left to right, Sandra, Michael, and Rabbi Glick.)
