SMK’z Sunday Update: 8:00am 6/28/26

Just met with the doctor & this is where we are at; unfortunately, We still do not know exactly what the problem is. The New X-Ray this morning showed no change in her lungs. Not any better but not any worse. (Praise Jesus)

Sweet Mary continues to be on 50mg steroids but the mask for forced oxygen can come off except when “as needed”, naps and overnight. However, SHE MUST continue with oxygen because her oxygen levels drop dangerously low so rapidly without it.

She is being moved from 24 hour watch because she doesn’t appear to be in imminent danger but still must be watched and monitored.

Her heart rate and blood pressure are leveled out so they are taking her off of the amiodiron.

She is in a lot of pain but in good spirits. Thank you so much for your prayers. Love you.

God is so good and I am thankful that I have been able to spend this time with Sweet Mary Kate.

SMK'z Update: Friday June 26th, 2026.

We just completed a visit with the doctor. This is my understanding of the situation. Sweet Mary Kate has sepsis and an undetermined condition in her lungs. They are sending her for a CT Scan to find out more.

She is being moved from ICU 24 hour watch with the expectation that she may have to be moved back if her AFib & low BP continue to be a problem.

When I first got here she was doing absolutely terrific. She was visiting on the phone with Megan Renee for a minute and was coherent & lucid.

She is still struggling with eating and nausea but is nibbling on saltines. The hospital still struggles to get blood from her little baby veins and she is bruised up. They have decided to put in a PICC line right after her scan.

Her breathing is still shallow and her oxygen level drops rapidly when she is off the oxygen.

She is in an amazing mood and continues to ask me to pray with her because she is afraid. It seems a constant topic with her doctors is if she wants to be revived in case of death. That would scare me too!

Be like Rhoda (Acts 12) and belive God answers prayers.
