Peace scriptures, part 8

Psalm 62:1–2 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Psalm 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

Psalm 37:7-9
Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.
Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself-it tends only to evil doing.
For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait and hope and look for the Lord shall inherit the earth.

Psalm 37:34
Wait for and expect the Lord and keep and heed His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Daniel 10:19 And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.

Philippians 4:6–7 Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Matthew 24:6
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars, see that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.

2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear but of power and of love and of a sound (mind) judgment, and personal discipline (abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self control).

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated) for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of death I fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide] they comfort and console me.

Psalm 46:10
Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.

Matthew 11:28–30
Come to me, all who are weary and heavily burdened (by religious rituals that provide no peace) and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Mark 5:36
Do not be afraid; only keep on believing [in me and my power].

Luke 12:7
Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid, you are far more valuable than many sparrows.

Christ's Example of Humility Philippians 2:1-11 ESV

2 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,[a] 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,[b] 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant,[c] being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
