Celebrate Recovery Ripon CA

Celebrate Recovery Ripon CA Come find Hope and Healing from your hurts, habits and hang-ups in a safe place.

Celebrate Recovery at Calvary will be taking a Selah. What is a Selah? In Scripture this means a voluntary and intentional pause for reflection. Please pray as we regroup, refocus, reimagine and rebuild during this Selah. June 30th will be the last gathering for a while. To be clear, God is not finished with Celebrate Recovery at Calvary. It is an essential part of being a hospital for the hurting. During this Selah, we are trusting the Lord to reveal His plan for the future before we relaunch the ministry! Please visit our Hope page calvaryripon.org/hope for a list of the multiple meetings happening every weeknight in our local area for those of us who need to start or continue on their recovery journeys.

Celebrate Recovery Step 10: We continue to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
We’ve all been there... wondering if the hurt we caused is large enough that we should apologize. In short, err on the side of apologizing.
A reason people do not apologize is because they are afraid it may make them less valuable. In so doing, they place their ego in a higher priority than the relationship that would benefit from an apology.
Matthew 5:24 reminds us how important relationships are by suggesting we reconcile with others with great urgency. If you know you owe an apology, do your relationship a favor and make it happen today!

Principle 7 and Step 10 are a crossroads of your recovery. It is not a place to stop and rest on past accomplishments. We need to thank God for getting us this far on our road to recovery, praise Him for the many victories over our hurts, hang-ups, and habits we have seen in working the first nine steps, but we also need to continue working the last three steps with the same devotion and enthusiasm that got us to this point in our recoveries.
First Corinthians 10:12 puts it this way: “So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!”
Please join us tonight for Dinner at 5:30pm and then Worship and lesson on Crossroads at 6:30pm

One of the greatest disciplines we can practice in our recovery is to anchor ourselves in God’s Word. Even better is when we ask God how it applies to our life and then ask for His help to carry it out.
Watch in amazement as He changes you from the inside out.
Reserve a daily time with God...(Principle 7 of CR)
Join us tomorrow night for a lesson on how we do this. Dinner starts at 5:30pm followed by Worship and teaching at 6:30pm. Hope to see you there

CR Principle 7: “Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.”
Have you talked to God yet this morning?
I promise you it won't be wasted time.

Step 10: We continue to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!
1 Corinthians 10:12
This applies to so many areas of our lives. Things could be going great and the moment we take our eyes off of Jesus or stop working the steps, the enemy slips in and trips us up.
Christ can help us maintain our balance in serving others, work, relationships, life issues and self care.

Can we all be honest for a minute and admit that doing anything daily is sometimes hard to keep up?
However, like Principle 7 tell us, if we commit to this discipline in certain areas we can gain great rewards.
“Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.”
How do you keep this up?
What does it look like for you?
Join us next Thursday to find out how.

God's grace, mercy and forgiveness was poured out for us on the cross. Recovery is accepting this gift freely and allowing God to show us what we need to do to make amends and offer forgiveness to others. Without out this gift we would not know how to, but because we have received this gift freely we are able to give the gift of forgiveness to others and offer our amends.
