✊🏾🖤 BLACK HISTORY. OUR HISTORY. EVERY DAY. 🖤✊🏾

No matter who’s in office or what attempts are made to erase, rewrite, or minimize our story. Black History is American History.

It was written with courage, faith, resistance, brilliance, and purpose. And it cannot be undone, deleted, or forgotten.

We honor the giants whose names we know and the trailblazers the history books tried to skip. Because our legacy isn’t confined to one month. It’s alive, powerful, and shaping the future right now.

Today’s Black History Moment ⬇️

In 1963, many of the young people who marched during the Children’s Crusade in Birmingham were students, some as young as 6 years old. Their courage helped expose the cruelty of segregation to the world and became a turning point in the Civil Rights Movement.

These young activists faced jail, fire hoses, and intimidation, but they kept marching because they believed in a future they might not yet see.

Young. Bold. Unapologetic.
Black history didn’t wait for adulthood. It moved through youth.

Never underestimate what God can do through a young voice that refuses to sit down for injustice.

Stay locked in. Stay educated. Stay empowered.
Because knowing your history is an act of resistance.

Today’s Black History Moment ⬇️

In 1955, Claudette Colvin was just 15 years old when she refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama. She was arrested, handcuffed, and jailed all because she believed what she learned in school and church: she had rights.

Her courage didn’t make headlines at the time, but her bravery helped lay the groundwork for the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Civil Rights Movement as we know it.

Young. Bold. Unapologetic.
Black history didn’t wait for adulthood. It moved through youth.

Never underestimate what God can do through a young voice that refuses to sit down for injustice.

From the pulpit to the picket line, the classroom to the courtroom, our people have always risen. Rooted in faith, driven by justice, and committed to change.

Stay locked in. Stay educated. Stay empowered.
Because knowing your history is an act of resistance.

In a world that often feels loud, uncertain, and chaotic, Christmas reminds us that we do not have to fear. “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given” (Isaiah 9:6). Hope entered the world not through power or prestige, but through a manger.

No matter what surrounds us, the good news still stands: Christ has been born. And because He has come, we have something worth shouting from the mountaintops. “Go, tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere, that Jesus Christ is born.”

For the Bible tells us This is the Christ who saves the world. The One who bore the weight of our sins on the cross. The One who feeds the hungry, clothes the naked, heals the sick, and restores the broken. The One who declared, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Christmas is not an escape from reality it is God stepping directly into it. It is light breaking through darkness. It is hope made flesh. And it is a reminder that love has already won.

So today, let us rejoice. Let us believe again. Let us carry this good news boldly into a world that desperately needs it.

From the Ohio South Ohio YPD family, we wish you peace, joy, and renewed hope. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:14).

Merry Christmas and God bless you all.
