UPDATE: Thank you all for your help identifying the individuals involved. Please continue to join us in praying for them. Specifically, that they will find Jesus and surrender their lives to Him.
đź’” Our church was broken into last night.
Several items were stolen from our storage shed and Teen House. While the loss of property is upsetting, what hurts the most is knowing that many of the things taken belonged to our youth.
They weren’t just stealing from a church building. They were stealing from our kids.
We are a small, nondenominational church, on a tight budget. We use most of our church funds to give back to the community and people in need. The youth, with the help of church volunteers, fundraise, serve, give their time, and earn money so they can grow their youth program, add activities, improve their Teen House, and create a place where other young people feel welcome.
Every item in that building represents someone’s hard work, a fundraiser, a donation, or money that our kids worked to earn.
It’s heartbreaking to think that someone could walk into a place created to give our young people a safe and positive environment and take the very things they worked so hard to have.
We are praying for whoever did this, but we are also asking our community to please keep an eye out. If you know anything about what happened or see someone trying to sell items that may have come from our church, please reach out to us or contact the appropriate authorities.
We have added additional cameras and security measures to our church premises.
To our youth: what was taken from you does not take away what you have built. We will rebuild, replace, and keep moving forward. ❤️
Please pray for our church, our youth, and the person responsible. 🙏
