Another wonderful Sunday of worship and fellowship at First Baptist Church of Rio Grande City!

Pastor John Lafara continued our study in James with a message from James 2:1-6, “Don’t Show Favoritism.”

We were reminded that God does not judge us by our appearance, wealth, or position in life, and neither should we. As followers of Christ, we are called to treat others with love, kindness, and respect, recognizing that everyone is valuable in God’s eyes.

May we carry this reminder into the week ahead and reflect God’s love in the way we treat others.

Another wonderful Sunday at First Baptist Church of Rio Grande City!

Pastor John Lafara continued our study in James, preaching from James 1:19–27 and encouraging us to ask ourselves three important questions:

1 - Am I listening to God?
2 - Am I different in my life?
3 - Is God evident in my lifestyle?

We were reminded that God’s Word should make a difference in how we live each day. God wants us to be His lighthouse, shining His light for others to see.

Following the service, we enjoyed our First Sunday Covered Dish with lots of delicious food and wonderful fellowship together. 🙏🏼
