The Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Ringwood, NJ has been around for a very long time. It has been a gathering place for the local community transcending Mass; family gatherings, community organizing, big dinners and meetings, Sunday school and a place for activities for the children, and much more.

The historic Church of the Good Shepherd has been faced with financial troubles for awhile now due to decreasing membership enrollment. However, the time has come where the Church needs to show financial improvement by May 2019, or they will have to reluctantly shut their doors after decades of service to the local community.

After speaking with the financial heads at the Church of the Good Shepherd, it has been calculated that the Church needs about $20,000 a year to sustain.

I have set the fundraising goal to $25,000 and I will explain why:
1) to account for GoFundMe's cut
2) to allow a small safety net for extraordinary costs; such as this when a tree fell on the property and repairs had to be done
3) to try and give the Church a large lump sum that will allow them to secure this year, enabling them to focus on increasing membership enrollment and further fundraising activities.

There are more than 12000 people in Ringwood, NJ.
If 12,000 people contribute $1.60, we will reach $20000 rather quickly.
