Our Spain missions team is excited to report back to what the Lord has done on our trip this week and we are thankful for your many prayers! We can confidently say that God has moved in a powerful way this week!
One of the greatest blessings we experienced was seeing three people pray to receive Christ and make professions of faith.
As we began the week, it quickly became evident that the spiritual soil here is hard. For many, their view of faith has been shaped more by religion, buildings, and traditions than by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We prayed that God would soften hearts and give us opportunities to plant seeds of the Gospel.
Along the way, we faced spiritual opposition and warfare, but it did not slow us down from boldly sharing the hope of Christ.
Throughout the week, we held multiple worship and testimony gatherings in public squares and parks, where members of our team shared how Jesus has transformed their lives. We worshiped openly, proclaimed Scripture over the nation of Spain, and preached the Gospel to those who stopped to listen.
The Lord placed several people in our path who were drawn to our team and the love they experienced through our church family. By God’s grace, one of those individuals came to Christ this morning.
We also spent time prayer walking throughout the city, asking God to raise up churches, pastors, and laborers for the harvest. We distributed Gospel tracts, prayed with people, and sought opportunities to point others to Jesus.
One of the greatest privileges of the week was praying over pastors, pastors’ wives, deacons, church servants, and even a seminary president. We prayed that God would pour out His Spirit upon them, protect them from the enemy, and allow them to see much fruit from their ministry.
In addition, we had the opportunity to serve alongside an adult special needs ministry, where we fed, sang with, and encouraged those we met. It was a beautiful reminder of what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
We share all of that to simply brag on God and give Him the Glory for what He has done! We have experienced His presence in a powerful way, grown tremendously in our faith, and built friendships and community that will last a lifetime.
Thank you again for your faithful prayers. As we prepare to return home tomorrow, we ask that you continue praying for safe travels, for the seeds that have been planted, and for God to continue His work in Spain long after we leave.
To God be the glory!
