Late night post from my heart. Love ya'll!

Elijah: Private Collapse After Public Victory
1 Kings 19:4 says, “But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.”
Elijah wanted to die. Ever been there??? You aren't alone.
That is how discouraged he was. This was the same Elijah who had just stood on Mount Carmel and watched God send fire from heaven. He had faced the prophets of Baal. He had stood for the LORD in front of the whole nation. To everybody watching, Elijah looked strong, bold, and full of faith.
But privately, he was worn out.
One threat from Jezebel got to him deeply. He ran into the wilderness, sat down under a tree, and told God he was done. He had nothing left. The man who looked fearless in public was falling apart in private. He wanted to die.
That does not mean Elijah was fake. It means he was human. A man can love God and still get tired. A man can preach truth and still feel empty. A man can win a great spiritual victory and still collapse when the pressure catches up with him.
The people saw Elijah on Mount Carmel.
God saw Elijah under the juniper tree.
God sees. God knows. God cares. You are not alone.
