Have you ever noticed what Joel prophesied hundreds of years before Pentecost?
Joel 2:28 says, "I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy."
When the Holy Spirit was poured out in Acts 2, Peter stood up and declared that Joel's prophecy was being fulfilled. Sons and daughters. Men and women. Young and old. God was pouring out His Spirit on all flesh.
Now, when we hear the word "prophesy," we often think only of predicting the future. But throughout Scripture, prophecy also includes speaking forth God's truth, declaring His Word, and calling people to repentance and faith.
Here's my question:
If a person is spiritually dead and on their way to eternity without Christ, does it really matter whether God uses a man or a woman to bring them the life-changing message of the Gospel?
Think about it this way. Imagine a man has a heart attack. A female EMS worker arrives with the training, knowledge, and ability to save his life. Would anyone say, "No, don't help me. You're a woman. I'll wait for a man"? Of course not. Why? Because when someone is dying, what matters is that help arrives.
Spiritually speaking, there are people all around us who are dying without Jesus. Some of them may never walk into a church. Some may never listen to a male preacher. But they may listen to a godly woman who loves Jesus, knows His Word, and shares the Gospel.
My wife has shared her testimony with men and women alike, and I've watched God use her story to change lives. The power is not only in the messenger, it's in the message. The power is in the Gospel and in the Holy Spirit.
So to every woman who loves Jesus and is sharing the Good News, keep teaching, keep witnessing, keep testifying, keep loving people, and keep pointing them to Christ.
Jesus commanded us all: "Go and make disciples of all nations." The mission is too important, eternity is too long, and souls are too valuable for us to be silent.
Let's get the Gospel to everyone we can while we still have time.
God Bless!
