hts. We are committed to stopping the cycle of poverty, crime, abuse, and neglect in the lives of children living in our "own backyards". We feed and minister to children (ages 3-12) and teens (ages 13-18) each week. We touch the lives of and share the Gospel with more than 300 different youth over a six-month period. Our ministry provides a safe place for outside play (playground, basketball, soccer, softball, football, and other fun games) and a safe place for inside play (crafts, video games, books, and more). We have a special upbeat worship time, followed by Bible lessons and small groups. We feed the youth each week and send them home with snack-packs to help with hunger. Our staff develops relationships to mentor and disciple the families we serve.

Teen Night was a great reminder this week that following God does not always make life easier, but it is always worth it. As we studied Daniel 3, we saw how Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood faithfully for God even when it meant facing the fiery furnace. A hotter fire did not mean a weaker God.

We talked about how God does not promise a pain free life, but He does promise His presence. Even when these men were thrown into the fire bound and helpless, they were not alone. The very fire meant to destroy them only burned away what bound them. What an amazing picture of how God works through trials in our own lives.

Our teens were reminded that the fire does not get the final word, God does. Through every hardship, God remains faithful, present, and greater than anything we face. We also enjoyed pizza together, good conversation, and time growing in God’s Word with one another.

“In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

We had a fun and special night at Kid’s Bible Club yesterday as Burning Bush Baptist Church hosted our annual Birthday Party for the kids

For many of our children, this is the only birthday celebration they receive all year, which makes this night so meaningful. We sang happy birthday together, ate pizza and cupcakes, laughed a lot, and celebrated each child.

The kids also watched a movie while enjoying popcorn and candy, reminding them that God created each of them special and with purpose.

It was a simple but powerful night filled with love, joy, and encouragement for every child who walked through the doors.
A huge thank you to the WOW Women's Ministry for providing such an amazing evening for our kids and loving them so well year after year. Your kindness and generosity truly make a difference. 🎈

It was a great Teen Night this week as we spent time in Book of Daniel 1:8–21. We talked about Daniel’s conviction, that he “resolved” not to defile himself, and what that kind of steady obedience looks like in our own lives. Our teens really leaned in as we worked through how God gives favor, provides a way, and strengthens us when we choose to follow Him, even when it’s hard.

One of the sweetest parts of the night was our small group time. We had some honest conversations about the “king’s table” compromises they face today and what it looks like to trust God with wisdom and humility like Daniel did. It was so encouraging to see them open up and engage with Scripture on a deeper level.

Thank you so much to Burning Bush Baptist Church for providing pizza and sweets for our teens. We are so thankful for the way you continue to love and support our students!

We had such a special time at Kids Bible Club this week as we took a trip to Ringgold First Baptist Church! Their student ministry welcomed our kids with so much kindness and energy, and truly gave them the best time.

Our kids learned Philippians 4:4 and talked about how the Holy Spirit gives us real, lasting joy. It was such a sweet reminder that our joy isn’t based on circumstances, but on Christ. The night was full of fun with pizza, soda, crafts, and lots of time playing outside.

We are so thankful for the students and leaders who poured into our kids so intentionally. A big thank you to Joey Callahan for organizing such a meaningful and fun night. Your investment in these children truly matters, and we are so grateful!

Last week at Teen Night, we were in Daniel 1 and talked about what it looks like to live for God in a culture that does not follow Him. We asked questions like, “What is shaping your identity?” and “Where are you tempted to compromise?” and it led to some really honest conversations.

Our small group time was especially meaningful. Breaking apart by age and gender allows us to meet students right where they are and go deeper in ways we simply cannot in a large group. It was engaging, personal, and such a reminder of how important those moments are for real discipleship.

A big thank you to First Baptist Church Fort Oglethorpe for their generosity and for providing a very special treat of Chick-fil-A sandwiches, chips, brownies, and lemonade. What a blessing to our teens!

This Monday at Kids Bible Club, we learned from the book of Numbers about Zelophehad’s daughters. When their father died without a son, they boldly came forward, and God showed that He sees, cares, and always does what is right. It was a great reminder that no part of Scripture is small and that God uses every story to teach us about Him.

The weather was so nice that we moved our worship and lesson time outside, which made the night even more fun.

Thank you to First Baptist Church Fort Oglethorpe for the delicious meal of sandwiches, chips, fruit, and brownies. We are so thankful for another great Monday!☀️

This week, Kids Bible Club looked a little different. We moved from Monday to Friday because we had special guests from in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina come serve with us.

They were such a precious group of students who loved on our kids and truly gave them the very best day.

Before the kids even arrived, the girls jumped right in and tackled our storage closet, which was no small job. It looks amazing now, and we are so thankful for their hard work!

Once the kids got here, it was full speed ahead. We played games, colored, painted nails, spent time out on the field and basketball court, had worship, enjoyed bubble machines and a piñata, and just had an all around incredible day together.

Our kids also got to enjoy cupcakes and Easter treat baskets from Denise Montgomery, filled with swirly straws, stickers, small toys, and candy. It was such a special surprise and they loved every bit of it!

After everything wrapped up, we got to sit and talk about the heart behind Young America. It was such a blessing to share the mission and vision of why we do what we do each week with people who truly get it and share that same heart.
Mercy Shore, we are so thankful for you. We would love to have you come back and serve with us again anytime! 🤍

We are so thankful for our partners at and the team from

They came out on Thursday for a work day and served in such a big way. They cleaned and organized inside and out, pulled weeds, and laid fresh mulch all around our campus. By the time they finished, everything looked so clean and cared for.

Thank you for working so hard to make our community center a beautiful place for our kids. It truly means so much to us and to the families we serve. We hope to see you all again soon!

This week at Teen Night was a special one!

One of our own, 9th grader Jordan Henson, stepped up and led our lesson time, and he did an incredible job. He shared about the resurrection and reminded all of us that because Jesus rose from the grave, we have real hope not just for eternity, but for our everyday lives right now.

After the lesson, we broke into small groups and had some really meaningful conversations about what it truly means to have eternal life. It’s always encouraging to hear our teens thinking deeply and asking good questions about their faith.

We are so thankful for those who helped make the night extra special. Thank you to Linda Morris and friends for the delicious sandwiches, chips, and fruit. And thank you to Denise Montgomery for loving on our teens so well by making each of them an Easter egg filled with candy, stickers, and special treats, along with the most beautiful cupcakes.
Grateful for what God is doing in the hearts of these students each week!
