We had a fun time after church on Sunday. We enjoyed one last session of food and games with our three graduating seniors. We have one more Wednesday with those that haven’t left for school already and then Sunday is Promotion Day! We are excited to have new faces entering and see what God has in store for these Young Adults leaving us and Yound Teens just joining us. Pray for both sets please.

As our older teens transition into young adults, please know your youth group is praying for you. We know you face a lot of decisions and we hope that you place God at the center of every one. This is the time when many people let church and God fall off their priority list, but this is the time you’ll be making decisions that serve as a basis for your life. For those of you stepping out onto your own, here’s a few things to set you up for success:

1) Find a good church. Make it a priority to attend services. (Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. - Hebrews 10:25)

2) Pray daily. (Pray without ceasing. - 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

3) Read your Bible. (All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. - 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

4) Choose your friends carefully. Don’t be afraid to call home for advice. (Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. Proverbs 11:14)

We know we are a day late, but we wanted to wish these two brand new parents a Happy Anniversary! We are so glad you got to spend it at home with your new bundle of BOY!

Many people don’t realize the amount of work VBS takes behind the scenes - and they really don’t realize how much of that is done by our teenagers.

Having a servants’ heart for Christ will require you to be uncomfortable at times and to put the things you want last. But, putting God’s work first and making it a top priority in our lives will lead to more joy than we can ever imagine.

We had a wonderful time at our “winter formal.” It was different than our normal, but it is always a good time with this bunch!
