This Sunday, 4/19/26 from 4pm - 7pm, you are invited to support our teens that will be travelling to the WELS youth rally this summer.

This Mexican themed dinner is a fundraiser, for this purpose. The teens will be seating the guests, taking orders, and bussing tables. They will appreciate your donation as you enjoy the meal.

The kids will be serving you "restaurant" style at the St. John's Ev. Luth. Church fellowship hall @ 11949 Wegner Road, in Riga, MI.

We would like to thank everyone who showed up to welcome and encourage Rev. Benjamin Roekle as he was ordained and installed as the new pastor for St. John’s in Riga, MI. We would also like to welcome his wife, Mollie, and their son, Ezra.
It was a wonderful turnout by our church as well as churches from the surrounding area! God's Blessings to you as you begin your journey doing God's ministry! Congratulations!

Sharing some pics from the St John's, Riga Chili Cook-Off yesterday. Three different categories of chili were put to the test--prizes were awarded for the best Traditional, Spicy & Non-Traditional chili. This event was one of a monthly plan of fun fellowship and outreach events being planned by the St John's Discipleship & Evangelism Committee to celebrate St John's 125th Anniversary.

Dear friends in Christ,
Like you we are deeply concerned about the devastating fires currently burning in the Los Angeles area. I am in touch with district leadership and area pastors to check on our congregations and people. I don’t know much at this point but will share an update here when I know more. In the meantime, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we ask for your care and protection for all those impacted by the devastating fires in California. According to your will, minimize damage and loss and preserve the lives of all those in danger. Be with those who have lost loved ones and homes and sustain them with your promises. Give strength and courage to first responders and all those who are putting their lives on the line to preserve the lives and property of others. If it is your will, bring these fires under control soon. We pray with confidence, trusting that you will use even these fires for the eternal good of those who love you. In Jesus’ name we ask this. Amen.

The fires killed five people, put 130,000 people under evacuation orders and ravaged communities from the Pacific Coast to inland Pasadena.
