As glorious as the resurrection was, the disciples didn't get to that joy without first enduring the suffering of Good Friday. We're blessed to have our musicians from last year return to lead us an evening of reflection upon the events of Good Friday. Service begins at 7:00 pm tomorrow. Hope to see you there!

Are our acts of worship merely an effort to manipulate God or genuine displays of affection? Micah 6:1-8.... Seek Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly.

God isn't finished with you. He has a job for you. "Come follow me, and I'll make you fishers of men. "

Finally got the audio situation figured out with my Bluetooth speaker. John the Baptist sought not to elevate himself but was willing to step out of the spotlight to ensure Jesus received the recognition and honor he's due. Will you do the same?

Announcement! I changed the service time on the Event, but I wanted to make sure it was put out here as well. We had initially planned to begin our Good Friday service at 8:00 PM, but after meeting with the Church Council, we decided to bump the time up to 7:00 PM. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

I apologize that we haven't been posting lately. Finally purchased a new microphone to be able to keep our services posted for those unable to worship with us in person.

This past week, as I've been making preparations for our upcoming Good Friday service, I came across this picture. I can't for the life of me figure out where this is from. I'm usually pretty savvy with my Google skills, but alas, they've failed me.

I felt compelled to share this with you all. At first, I felt it was too disturbing, but then again that's the power of it. Good Friday should be disturbing. Looking into the eyes of our savior who's allowed himself to endure every insult and form of human suffering we inflict upon one another, because he longs to see his torturers transformed. It's not weakness or apathy which drove Jesus to the cross, but love.

We hope to see you at our upcoming Good Friday service, or any Sunday morning for that matter. Our service is early, but our community is genuine. Please join us in memory of Christ's sacrifice.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Had some technical difficulties lately.
(forgetting to charge my mic, forgetting to bring the mic) This morning we looked at the Beatitudes in Luke's Gospel. The word "blessed" can also be understood as happy, content, or fulfilled. What do go after in search of these things? Is it Jesus? Or something else?

We all give our best effort in making preparations for Santa in this Christmas season. (If Santa's cousin Bubba had to fill in, some special accommodations might also have to be made) But while we give Santa the red carpet treatment, do we give the same effort in welcoming Jesus into our lives?

Today is the first Sunday of Advent. We're reminded this morning that even in distressing times, God hasn't called us to respond to chaos with a spirit of despair but instead with hope. No matter how bad things may seem, we know that in the end, Jesus makes all things right. May we live in anticipation of the coming of Jesus.
