So, you think you know the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead? This miracle is certainly something rare. You don't see dead people rising out of their graves very often, especially after the process of decomposition has already begun. Imagine witnessing the event. What would the most vivid takeaway be? I suspect it would be the stench. You may never be able to shake the assault on your sense of smell as a decaying co**se walks out of a tomb four days after dying. Pretty shocking indeed. But even more confounding is discovering that the biblical story has been “embellished” by editors who thought they could “correct” or “reinterpret” what occurred. There is a stench…
