Dear God, when I reflect on Your power and on Your mightiness, confidence rises within me. Challenges and stressful situations may try to bring me down but I take courage as I dwell on the fact that since You are for me, nothing can ever stand against me and prevail. Thank you for this boldness, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

​Whether stepping into a kindergarten classroom, moving into a college dorm, or beginning a new chapter in education, we are covering every single student in prayer for a safe, blessed, and successful year ahead!

​Heavenly Father,
We lift up every student preparing for this new academic year.
​Give them wisdom & clarity as they learn and grow.
​Calm any nervous jitters or anxiety about new beginnings, new teachers, and new places.
​Surround them with safe, supportive friends and encouraging mentors.
​Protect their minds, hearts, and steps every single day.

O God of all nations, and peoples, and tongues. You long revealed Yourself in special ways almost exclusively to Israel, but now You are taking a people for Your glory, Your Church, from among all nations of the earth. Though diverse in many ways, we are one in You and unite in the purpose of glorifying Your name. Amen.

Today's prayer for the last week of July:

O God, I have sinned far too often with my words. I put my hand on my mouth and repent of my sinful words, which were uttered in anger, jealousy, lust, or rebellion against You. Cleanse my lips as You did Isaiah's (Isaiah 6) when he saw the glory of Christ. Teach me to think and speak well, to speak a word in season that will be like cool water to a thirsty soul.

Amen.

Prayer for the day:

O Lord, You truly work in mysterious ways to perform Your wonders. Your plans are not what we would have chosen, but You show their glory and wisdom time and again to our wondering eyes. You can use a bad thing for good. All things that occur are a part of Your plan, for You are the Ruler of all history. We praise You for Your wisdom and rejoice in Your work!

Dear God, my Heavenly Father, who sent His only begotten Son to us, show us peace and mercy. Like the disciples reunited again with Christ, give me joy Lord, in reconnecting with Your miracles and wonders. For joy is what my heart wants, and joy is what it shall receive, accepting Your blessings and Your everlasting embrace. Amen.

Have a blessed Saturday

God place me on the right side, the side of mercy and love for the voiceless, the injured, the poor. Instill within each and every one of Your followers the knowledge that within them rests an obligation and responsibility, to help give the voiceless a voice, to alleviate the suffering of mankind wherever they may be. I ask for Your continued mercy, Amen.
