Such an amazing object lesson yesterday...this precious little lamb, our newest and smallest, got completely separated from the flock. I realized there was a Lamb missing and went on the search. After a few minutes I found him in the very back corner of the back pasture far from the rest. I thought he was injured as he just lay there making no sound, but as I approached he raised his head and I scoopd him up, Still unsure if there was something wrong. I prayed for this precious little life as we walked back toward mom and he began calling for her. When I set him down, he was strong on his feet and ran right to her to nurse and I was so thankful!
It was such a clear picture of what we remember and celebrate this week! Jesus came as a precious perfect Lamb to become the spotless Lamb who took the sin of the world upon Himself and paid in full the debt for that sin so that we might be declared innocent before our Father in Heaven! And today we celebrate His victory over sin and death with the empty tomb! Our Father sent His Son on a seek and save mission for each of us who were alone and separated from the flock, to bring us into relationship with Him. Oh how much we have to be thankful for!!!
