Please lift up these student-athletes in prayer as they continue to demonstrate great sportsmanship, encouragement, and care to their fellow athletes.

DEVOTION!!

The Bible calls us to encourage one another and build each other up. When we see our friends, teammates, and classmates doing wrong, we should lovingly come alongside them and remind them what they should be doing instead. We must do this in a way that builds them up, not tears them down.

When we encourage them to choose another path, step away from sinful things, and handle situations differently, we build them up, hold them accountable, and lower their chances of suffering the penalty of sin and bad choices.

In our everyday life, we don’t risk a flag being called on us or worry about being outnumbered, but this doesn’t mean we don’t check our friends and have their backs because we risk something more dangerous and costly than a yellow flag penalty.

As we walk onto the field of life each day, let us look at those around us and have their backs because we, hold them accountable, and build them up every day.

HINDS CC FCA!!

This semester Hinds County Area Representative Cooper Gadman has passed out Bibles to all teams at Hinds Community College! The response has been amazing! To see how many students have responded to the Gospel and have a desire for God’s Word is a gift.

SCHOOL HIGHLIGHT!!

Clinton Christian Academy (CCA) meets on Thursdays for their FCA huddle and had their first Fields of Faith EVER this past October! We are so excited to see how the Lord will continue to grow CCA’s FCa aim the coming years.

Please pray that the Lord would continue to grow His kingdom through CCA!

DEVOTION!!

It’s common for a football team to eat a pre-game meal. Usually, this meal is prepared by someone in the community- the parents, booster club, or even FCA. The football team needs good and water to ensure their players have enough strength for the upcoming game. While our bodies might have physical strength, our souls can be weak. We have a spiritual hunger and thirst only God can satisfy.

In Jeremiah 31, God is speaking to the prophet Jeremiah about the nation of Israel. In this passage, God is making a new covenant with His people, assuring those who are weak and tired that He will be there to build them back up. He reminds them that they won’t find this strength in the flesh but only through Him. Often, we forget where our true strength comes from. No amount of working out, eating right, or sleep will satisfy our souls, only the Lord.

God is the only one who can give our souls rest and hope. All our strength is because He is strong. Any peace we have is simply because God is peace Himself. All our hope is found only in Christ.

On days when you feel weak, don’t look to the world for strength; turn and rely on the One who will always satisfy your soul.

DEVOTION!!

No matter where life takes us, whether it be the highest mountain top or lowest valley, the Lord our God will be with us. He will cover us with His mighty and loving hand and guide us through our situation according to His will.

Therefore be grateful in all seasons and situations! There is always a blessing upon you, you may just need to shift your perspective to see it. But regardless of if you see it, His hand is upon you holding you fast and keeping you safe.

Mississippi College FCA has been starting this spring semester strong! Every Monday night at 8pm students and athletes meet to hear from a new speaker and worship. There is no better way to start a busy week than at FCA! Keep up the fellowship!

DEVOTIONAL!!

An athlete’s identity and purpose all too often hinge on performance, so what happens when adversity strikes, making our performance less than ideal? If our identity is wrapped up in athletic success, then we are resting on shaky ground.

It’s important to remember that what we see as adversity, God sees as opportunity. Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers (Gn 38), and was imprisoned for thirteen years for a crime he did not commit. Nevertheless, at the end of his ordeal, Joseph was able to say, “What men meant for evil, God used for good.” He was right. Joseph became second in command over all of Egypt.

God can do great things with circumstances that appear discouraging to us. Whether we are deceived, beaten, jailed, surrounded by lions, or cut from a team, we are being prepped through adversities for divine opportunity.

SERVE DAY!! BEST DAY!!

Our Central MS staff and volunteers love to help out with the Resources Center at First Ridgeland Church! The Resource Center serves the community so well providing food, clothing, toys and more while sharing the Gospel! We are grateful for the chance to team up and work alongside them!

WEEKLY DEVOTION!!

What about our spiritual desires? Do we desire each day to be enriched with the Word of God so that we might draw closer to Him? What about the desire for confession and repentance so that our hearts and minds might be pure before the Lord? Do we consume ourselves with our desires for our lives or do we desire God and pursue what He puts in front of us?

As you ponder these thoughts, think about Jesus’ life. His desire was imply to honor His Father. By honoring His Father, Jesus changed the world. He didn’t change the world based on His own desire for power, freedom, popularity, etc. He changed the world by showing us the true way to everlasting life.

✨HIGHLIGHT✨

East Rankin High School! What a year for this school with state championships, runner-ups, and an 18-1 girls basketball record! But even more than the athletic accomplishment is this schools passion for the Lord. Led by school sponsors Jonathan Worrell and Brooke Rhodes alongside Central MS Area Representative Lawrence Trigg. FCA meets once a month for junior high and high school students with an average attendance of 95!!!
