Jada, the eldest of 2 daughters was born September 22, 2005 following hurricane Katrina. Jada loves Christ, her family, the outdoors and anything competitive. She began her competitive journey playing soccer when she was 5 and quickly realized her love for competition which led to her also competing in Brazilian Jiu jitsu and finally finding basketball in the 8th gradeafter a lot of coaxing from the coaches.
After just a year she began playing travel AAU basketball for Mississippi Jazz during her summer breaks from school for the past 4 years. When she is not on the field, matt or court she loves to fish and hunt. Jada grew up deer hunting with her dad and killed her first deer at 7 years old and was hooked ever since that day! Jada has always excelled athletically where she was awarded Best Midfielder and named to the All District, ALL State MAIS and All-Star teams in soccer for the 2019,20,21,22, and ‘23 seasons.
She was also awarded Most Valuable Defender in Varsity basketball the last 4 seasons, 2024 District MVP and was named to the All District, All State, All Overalls and All-Star Teams for 2024 season justto name a few. Jada was instrumental in leading Central Hinds Academy Girls to several historical milestones in the school’s 51year history during her senior year.
The girls won their first soccer state championship, first basketball state championship and advanced to the first ever final four in the State Overalls tournament after she helped lead the team to a triple overtime defeat over Jackson Prep (6A state champions). Making these memories that much more special is she was able to share them with her best friend, little sister and teammate Kayla. Though she excelled in athletics, she also excelled in academics where she graduated with honors.
She was also voted “Wittiest Senior” and “Silliest Sophomore”. Jada will be attending Holmes community college on a basketball scholarship in the fall. She will be majoring in criminal justice and would like to eventually attend highway patrol school. Though Jada has accomplished so many things in her “career”, she knows that none of it ispossible without GOD’s grace.
