3.7.2021 Zoom Gathering! This is a compilation of the encouraging teaching from everyone on the zoom call.
Only Believe - a grace for revelation and ‘aha’ moments.
1. Mark 5:36 “Jesus said do not be afraid, only believe.”
2. Children are a model: when they are thirsty they drink; when they are sleepy they sleep. When we are afraid, only believe.
3. 2Timothy 1:7 God gives a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. This revelation of the power of God leads to freedom.
4. Psalm 118:17 “I shall not die, but live.”
5. We are radical activist for love. Where are you being deployed to?
6. Ephesians 1:18-19 “ May the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.
7. How are we releasing the hope and love and power of God to overcome?
** Practice seeing what God sees. His perspective is filtered through hope, joy, healing.
**Share the testimony of your journey, this gives people a stepping stone to start their out journey.
**Testimonies are like a dad walking in the deep snow in front of you so you have a path before you.
8. Happy Birthday James!! A prayer of a Father’s Blessing for relationships, restoration, career, finances, stability, and resting in Jesus.
9. Instead of starting your journey from zero, lean into those around you that have history with God. When you value and esteem their progress, you can actually take their highest points and begin from there. Their ceiling can become your floor.
10. When you follow Jesus, anything that comes into your life is going through God’s filter.
11. James 1:2 “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials.” We can view this as an invitation to an upgrade and increase! Verse 4 ends with “that you may be complete, lacking nothing.” God’s scenario inserts ‘anything is possible’.
12. God wants our availability, more than our ability.
13. Gratefulness brings hope, and hope strengthens us.
14. Rom 8:24-25 “For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. **Hope is released by bringing your eager expectations in line with God’s. Negatives produce negativity; positives expectations produce possibilities.
**Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The expressions/activations of our faith give the stepping stones of hope for others to walk.
15. In the midst of devastation, envisioning God in the middle of it can cancel guilt and condemnation.
16. Hope is release though companioning- we are lending our hope to others; it helps carry them and creates safety.
17. Devotional book: Igniting Faith in 40 Days by Steve Backlund (Amazon). This is a step by step process for aligning with God’s thinking and infusing your life with faith, hope, and power.
