Our Beliefs

We believe that there should be unity in essentials; diversity in non-essentials; and in all things love. The following are our essential beliefs:

Inspiration of Scriptures: We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments by the Holy Spirit as originally given; they are the final authority for our faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12)

God: We believe in one God revealed in three coequal, distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19-20; Ephesians 2:18)

Man: We believe that man in his natural state is a sinner, lost, undone, without hope and without God. (Ephesians 2:1-2; Romans 3:23)

Divinity and Humanity of Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who by his incarnation and virgin birth took upon Himself the form of man and became the God-Man. In the one person of Christ, there are two natures, human and divine, each in its completeness and integrity. so that He is fully man and fully God. He lived a sinless life and became the only sacrifice for the sins of the world. (Ephesians 1:3-5; Romans 5:1-11; Acts 12:4; 1 Peter 1:18-19)

Bodily Resurrection: We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Luke 24:38-43; John 20:24-29)

Salvation: We believe that terms of salvation are repentance towards God for sin and a personal heart-felt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which results in regeneration. This salvation is entirely by grace and not by works. (Ephesians 2:6-10; Romans 5:1; Acts 3:19-20)

The Kingdom of God: We believe that the Kingdom of God will be established on the earth by God through His Church prior to the return of Jesus. (Psalm 110:1; Daniel 2:34-35; Isaiah 9:6-7; Daniel 7:13-14)

Second Coming: We believe in the visible, bodily return of Christ to this earth to judge the world and to claim His Bride. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Acts 1:10-11)

Church: We believe that the Church is Christ’s spiritual body on earth today. It consists of born-again believers and has both universal and local expressions. (Matthew 16:18; Acts 20:28)

Heaven and Hell: We believe in the doctrines of eternal punishment for the lost and eternal bliss and service for the saved; hell for the unsaved and heaven for the saved. (John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:11-15)

Satan: We believe that Satan is a fallen, created being who is the “god of this world.” He and his well-organized company of demons are opposed to the Kingdom of God and work to defeat and destroy the believer. While his activity is real, Satan and his demon spirits were defeated and overthrown by Christ’s victory at the cross, and Christians can and should exercise authority over them. (Luke 10:17-20; Colossians 2:13-15; Ephesians 6:10-18)

Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third Person of the Godhead who is active in the world today. The Spirit indwells and seals the believer at new birth. We believe the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a subsequent experience and is available to all Christians to empower us to be witnesses. We believe in, and encourage, the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 8:14-17; Acts 10:44-46; Ephesians 5:18)

Ordinances: We believe that believer’s Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances of the church and should be practiced regularly. (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-10; 1 Corinthians 10:16-21)

What if the trials you're facing aren't attacks from the enemy, but invitations from God to grow? This week, we're diving into the book of James—a letter so powerful it was once considered "subversive" enough to overthrow governments.

James, the half-brother of Jesus, gives us a radical perspective: "Count it all joy" when you face trials. Not because suffering is fun, but because God is developing your character, maturing you, and making you complete. The goal isn't a perfect, problem-free life—it's becoming spiritually mature with your mouth under control and your faith unwavering.

Here's the truth: We're either entering a trial, in the middle of one, or coming out of one. But on the other side of every valley is the promised land. The question is—will you go through it with joy, trusting that God is perfecting you? Join us as we spend the summer in James, learning to live wholeheartedly like Jesus.

Are you living as one of wisdom's children? This powerful message challenges us to stop living contrary to God's Word and then wonder why our lives are a mess. The truth is simple: God wants us to prosper in EVERY area of life, but we must drink in His Word and live it out.

Five life-changing principles were unpacked: making right choices instead of following feelings, embracing hard work with enthusiasm, anticipating what's ahead, choosing godly friends, and fully embracing the season you're in. Remember Psalm 1 - when we delight in God's Word and meditate on it day and night, we become like trees planted by streams of water, prospering in whatever we do.

Stop sleeping through the harvest season of your life. God isn't waiting to punish you - He's your biggest fan, cheering you on even when you've stopped believing in yourself. It's time to line up your life with His wisdom and watch Him prove His Word true through you.

What kind of Christian do you want to be? One sitting on the sidelines, or one acting boldly in what God has called you to do?

This Sunday's message challenged us to stop being lukewarm and start BURNING for Jesus. Just like a stadium full of fans cheering for their team, we should have even more passion for our victorious God! He's calling us to grow a fire within through three transformative areas: praise, worship, and the Holy Spirit.

God isn't looking for a church that's merely functioning—He's looking for a church that's ON FIRE for Him. When we lift our voices in praise, worship freely, and invite the Holy Spirit to guide us, everything changes. We become citizens of heaven who don't just attend church, but fellowship deeply with Jesus.

"Whom the Son sets free is free indeed." Are you ready to be set free from everything holding you back? Open the door wide for Jesus—don't let Him stand there knocking. Let's be the thermostat that sets the temperature, not the thermometer that just measures it!

Where does your true citizenship lie?

Just like a passport determines your rights and protections in a country, your spiritual citizenship determines everything about how you live. The Bible declares in Philippians 3:20 that "we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives." Yet too often, we live consumed by earthly things, forgetting we're ambassadors of an eternal kingdom.

Here's the truth: you're in this world, but you're not meant to be of it. When Jesus freed you from sin, He changed your immigration status from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of heaven. Now the question is - are you living like it? Are you eagerly awaiting your Savior's return, or are you storing up treasures on earth that will fade away?

Your mission is clear: advance heaven's agenda here on earth. Seek first His kingdom, and everything else will fall into place. Let your conversations, your priorities, and your life reflect your true home - heaven.

Your words are steering your life more than you realize. Just like a small rudder controls a massive ship, your tongue—only 0.1% of your body weight—has the power to direct your entire destiny.

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that "death and life are in the power of the tongue." Every word you speak is either giving life or causing death. Your words reveal what's truly in your heart, they shape the environment around you, and they carry spiritual power that aligns you with God or opposes Him.

This week's challenge: Start listening to yourself. What are you saying consistently? Are you speaking faith or fear? Hope or despair? Remember, you can't clean up your words without cleaning up your heart. Pray David's prayer from Psalm 141:3—"Set a guard over my mouth, Lord."

When your tongue is surrendered to God, your ship begins moving toward purpose, peace, and power. What direction are your words taking you today?

From the very beginning in the Garden of Eden, God has been extending the same invitation: "Walk with me." Not as a restriction, but as a pathway to true freedom.

When God told Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree, He wasn't limiting them—He was inviting them into a relationship. When He called Israel to be a nation of priests, He wanted to speak directly to each person. When Jesus walked the earth, He was saying, "I'll come to you since you won't come to Me."

Today, that same invitation stands. God doesn't want secondhand faith where we only hear from Him through pastors on Sunday. He wants to meet with you personally, in the cool of the evening, guiding your steps daily. The question isn't whether God wants to walk with you—it's whether you'll accept His invitation.

Stop seeing His instructions as restrictions and start seeing them as the loving guidance of a Father who knows the way. He's waiting for you. Will you walk with Him?

Have you ever wondered if there's more to your spiritual life than what you're currently experiencing? The truth is: you ain't seen nothing yet.

This Sunday's message reminds us of God's incredible promise in 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 – no eye has seen, no ear has heard what God has prepared for those who love Him. Just like Elisha's servant who couldn't see the armies of heaven surrounding them until his eyes were opened, we often miss the spiritual reality that God wants to reveal to us.

The question God is asking you today is simple: "Do you see what I see?" Through prayer, vision, and letting your light shine, you can experience the deeper things God has waiting for you. Remember, there are MORE with you than there are with them. Whatever you're facing, God has already positioned His power on your behalf.

Don't settle for living blindly when God wants to open your eyes to His incredible plans for your life.

What if the strength to be truly gentle comes not from weakness, but from power under control?

This week, we wrapped up our Fruit of the Spirit series by exploring gentleness—a quality that looks a lot like Jesus stooping down to lift us up. From the woman caught in adultery to Peter's restoration on the beach, we saw how Christ handled fragile hearts with incredible care. He was direct. He was truthful, but He was always gentle.

Here's the challenge: Maybe we don't value gentleness as highly as God does. We pray for many things, but rarely do we ask God to make us more gentle. Yet Scripture commands us to "let your gentleness be evident to all" (Philippians 4:5). When we handle others with the same gentle care Jesus extends to us, we open doors for transformation, healing, and even salvation.

Are you ready to stop being in "destroyer mode" and start handling the people God has entrusted to you with strength under control? That's true biblical gentleness.

What if a simple act of kindness could change someone's life forever? What if your warm smile or kind word was the very thing that stopped someone from giving up?

This week we explored the fruit of kindness, discovering that God's kindness to us cost everything—the cross. And just as God extends kindness to the ungrateful and wicked, we're called to do the same. Not just to those we like, but to everyone we encounter.

Jesus lived a life of interruptions, yet He never responded with irritation. He paused for the woman with the issue of blood, for blind Bartimaeus, for children seeking His attention. Every interruption became an opportunity to demonstrate the Father's loving kindness.

The question isn't whether we have time to be kind. It's whether we're willing to let our lives be interrupted for the sake of others. Because kindness doesn't just draw people to us—it draws them to Jesus.
