“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” -Psalm 34:18

Good morning, family. Today is 988 Day, a day to bring awareness to su***de prevention and remind people that there is hope, there is help, and your life has value.

Father, this morning we pray especially for the person who is tired of pretending they're okay. For the one fighting battles nobody knows about, feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, alone, or wondering if life is worth continuing—Lord, surround them with Your love and place caring people in their path. Give us compassionate hearts to check on one another, listen without judgment, and take someone's pain seriously. Remind us that prayer and professional help can walk hand in hand, and asking for help is not a failure of faith. Lord, let somebody reading this know: Your story is not over. You matter. You are loved. Please stay. 💚 In Jesus' name, Amen.

💚 CHECK ON YOUR PEOPLE TODAY. A phone call, text, hug, prayer, or listening ear could mean more than you know.

If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. You do not have to face a crisis alone.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.” -Romans 8:28

Father, as we begin another week, we choose to trust You—not only when life makes sense, but through it all. Through the good days and the difficult ones. Through answered prayers and waiting seasons. Through open doors and unexpected detours. Through laughter, tears, victories, disappointments, beginnings, and endings. When we cannot trace Your hand, help us trust Your heart. Remind us that what we see today is only one page of a story You are still writing. Give us peace for what we cannot control, faith for what we cannot see, and strength for whatever comes next. No matter what this week brings, our trust remains in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” -1 Corinthians 11:26

Lord, we thank You for First Sunday! Today we remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the price that was paid for our salvation. As we prepare our hearts for Holy Communion, help us examine ourselves, release unforgiveness, surrender our burdens, and remember Calvary with gratitude. Thank You for the body that was broken and the blood that was shed. Thank You that the cross was not the end of the story and that because He lives, we have hope!

We extend an open invitation to EVERYONE to come worship and commune with us today at God’s Grace Community Ministries. Come as you are. There is room for you in the house of God! You can find us at 5111 Sauk Trail, Richton Park. We are on the lower level

“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” - Acts 2:46

Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessing of community. Remind us that we were never created to walk this journey alone. Teach us to fellowship with one another, encourage one another, pray for one another, laugh together, cry together, and sit at the table together. Heal broken relationships, restore meaningful connections, and help us make room for people who may feel forgotten or alone. Let our fellowship reflect the love of Christ so strongly that people experience You simply by being in our presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown.” -Luke 7:47

Jesus, this morning we come before You with grateful hearts. Like the woman who knelt at Your feet, help us remember that worship isn’t about appearances—it comes from a heart that recognizes just how good You have been. We may not have expensive perfume to pour out, but we give You our praise, our gratitude, our time, our hearts, and our lives. Thank You for forgiving us, restoring us, and loving us through every imperfect chapter of our story. May we never become too proud, too busy, or too comfortable to bow before You and say, “Thank You, Jesus.” Amen.

“By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.” -Hebrews 11:7

Father God, thank You for another morning and another opportunity to trust Your instructions. Noah obeyed You before he could see what You had promised, and today we ask for that same kind of faith. When Your direction doesn’t make sense to us, help us obey anyway. When others don’t understand what You are doing in our lives, help us keep building anyway. When the rain begins to fall, remind us that obedience has already prepared a place of safety. Cover our homes, our families, our children, and everyone connected to us. Keep us safely in Your care. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” -Matthew 4:4

Lord, this morning we thank You for the gift of Your Word. In a world filled with opinions, distractions, and confusion, help us make Scripture our foundation. Give us a hunger to study, a heart to understand, and wisdom to apply what You teach us. Don’t let us simply read Your Word—let Your Word read us, correct us, strengthen us, and transform us. As we gather for Bible Study this evening, open our minds and hearts to receive something that will carry us through the rest of this week. Everyone is welcome to come learn and grow with us! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please come and join us for Bible study tonight at 6:15. It is completely done over the phone so you can join in from wherever you are. The dial in number is (667)770-1232 and the passcode is 9426855 #. We would love to have you join, listen, learn and share YOUR interpretation of the word of God.

“If you love me, keep my commands.” -John 14:15

Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing us to see a brand-new month! As we enter September, give us hearts that desire not only to hear Your commands but to live according to Your will. Just as You gave Moses instructions for Your people, give us wisdom, discipline, and discernment for the journey ahead. Help us choose what is right even when it is difficult, love when it would be easier to hold a grudge, forgive when we have been hurt, and honor You in everything we do. May this month be filled with obedience, growth, favor, and a closer walk with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?" -1 Corinthians 3:16

Father, thank You for the fellowship, laughter, conversations, and connections we shared yesterday. Yesterday reminded us that church isn't just a building we gather in—WE ARE THE CHURCH. Whether we worship in a sanctuary, gather around a breakfast table, share a conversation, pray in our homes, or encourage someone along the way, God's presence goes with us. Help us carry that same love and spirit into this new week. Remind us that wherever we go, we carry Your presence with us. Let our words encourage, our actions reflect Christ, and our lives be a living testimony of Your goodness. Use us outside the church walls to be the church wherever You send us. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏🏾

💭 This week's reminder:
Don't just GO to church. BE the church. ❤️
