I was feeling adventurous this morning so after our Tuesday devotion and prayer, I asked Chat to give me an image of peace in the midst of a storm based on Phil 4:7. Take a close look at the image - there's a force field providing protection from the storm.

That's the power of peace! It's much more than serenity or the absence of conflict. Peace is a stabilizing force that's anchored in an abiding trust in God. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us that after we've prayed, the peace of God comes to put a fence around our heart and mind. We don't understand exactly how this happens (because it passes all understanding), but that peace places us in protective custody in the midst of stressful situations while we wait on the answer to what we prayed - knowing that we already have the victory!

We live in a world where we don't believe unless we have proof or some point of reference. It's actually ironic that we would be so skeptical when AI daily turns what's real and true on its head. This passage flies in the face of your need for evidence. The key word here is God - that's the game changer. He's the one who makes something out of nothing, He spoke to the darkness and said "let there be light" and it was! He's the one who knows the end from the beginning. This is just a reminder that it's God who makes the impossible bow to His will!

Psalm 8 declares the Lord's name is excellent ! I recently I looked up the Hebrew definition of that word. It means majestic, mighty, and powerful. His name is indeed excellent in all the earth!!

There are moments in life when circumstances can cause you to lose sight of who you are. Sometimes, life causes our crown to shift !! The crown is a symbol of your true identity. Since knowing who you are determines the trajectory of your life, it’s time to adjust your crown and step boldly into the greatness already within you.

I couldn't help but share this anonymous proverb because the imagery spoke volumes to me. "When the root is deep, there is no reason to fear the wind." It's clear that everything hinges on the root system - a deep one makes you unbothered by the dark clouds while the shallow root system leaves you in distress and unable to see past the howling winds. The message here is simple and yet profound - deep roots deliver the nurturing and strengthening we need in a storm. In this season, may we find ourselves with deep roots and a sturdy umbrella .....I hear there's rain in the forecast.

We're enjoying a series entitled "Praying the Names of God" and this image was created by Freddie Davis from today's theme Jehovah Jireh presented by Evelyn Hall Harris. Our understanding was enlarged and hearts expanded to embrace more of Jireh (Ra'ah) who sees, considers and inspects every area of our lives. He's so much more than our provider. May that "more " show up in your life everyday!!
