Boulevard UMC, Now Common Table

Dear friends,

Good news: in worship last Sunday, we celebrated the official launch of Common Table, the collaborative community between Boulevard UMC and Center Church! Please "like" Common Table in order to keep up with community news and connection points like our worship livestream on Sundays at 10 a.m.

We also shared in a congregational affirmation of our reconciling statement that we're sending to Reconciling Ministries Network! We're so grateful to have found spiritual kin who share in a heart for full inclusion of our LGBTQIA+ siblings in Christ. Thanks be to God for the story of this church -- past, present, and future!

This Sunday we will celebrate baptism. Baptism is a sacred celebration of God's adoption. In baptism, God claims us, and we proclaim our belonging to God. It's really that simple, and we want you to take this last minute opportunity to be baptized this Sunday. On May 28th, from 3-6PM at the church building, we will be hosting a kids hang. As our church is growing we want to make ample room for folks and families to connect with one another. We will provide all the meat treats and beyond meat treats to make it a happening party. We will see you and your roll dawgs then.

To celebrate the moms-of-all-kinds, we've ordered Mister Softee Ice Cream Truck for everyone on Sunday. This is a great gathering for you and your crew, so load up your car with the moms in your life and join us for church on Sunday. Stephen will be continuing our series, Gifts of God and we will hang in the parking lot after church.

This Sunday, we will be worshiping by serving our community.

We are taking a week off from "regular" worship to help clean up the grounds at John B. Cary Elementary. This is where a majority of our elementary-age neighbors attend, and we want to invest in the scholars that call Cary home.

We will start at 10AM, and there will be something for everyone of all ages. So bring your little friends, and they too can serve the community.

We are and will always be a church community dedicated to making Richmond beautiful.

All can join in volunteering.
