Rich would like to remind us to not hold on to worldly possessions this Christmas.

Here is the scripture quoted:
Isaiah 55:2-3a "Why spend your money for what is not bread; your wages for what does not satisfy? Only listen to me, and you shall eat well, you shall delight in rich fare. Pay attention and come to me; listen, that you may have life."
Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

"With great sadness, I announce The Most Rev. Francis X. DiLorenzo, Bishop of Richmond, died at St. Mary’s Hospital, late last night. He was 75. He was a faithful servant of the Church for 49 years and a Shepherd of the Diocese of Richmond for 13 years.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Bishop DiLorenzo, for his family and friends, and for the people of the Diocese of Richmond.
More information will follow later.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him.

Rev. Msgr. Mark Richard Lane
