“I Am Not Your Source of Hope”
As missionaries and ministry leaders, we often want to bring hope and encouragement to those who are struggling. But even with the best intentions, our words can sometimes do more harm than good.
In this thoughtful devotional, Paul Granger reflects on Job’s friends, who spoke words that sounded right but ultimately added to Job’s suffering.
It’s a powerful reminder for all of us in ministry: We can encourage others, point them toward truth, and walk alongside them through difficult seasons, but we are never meant to be their source of hope. Only God can fill that role.
