We kicked off Rise and Renew yesterday on Rosh Chodesh Sivan with Rabbi Menachem Sherman, who spoke about how challenges help us grow and strengthen ourselves. We then enjoyed a hands-on session with Aliza Asher, who taught us how to arrange beautiful flower arrangements in preparation for the upcoming holiday of Shavuot.

We had a wonderful turnout at our May Lunch and Learn, where Rabbi Asher discussed the evidence and foundations for our belief that Har Sinai was real. The session sparked thoughtful discussion, excellent questions, and much to reflect on. Thank you to everyone who attended—we look forward to continuing the program in September!

We once again had a wonderful Pizza and Parsha program led by Rabbi Paul. Rabbi Paul spoke about Yom Yerushalayim and what used to take place on Har HaBayis in Yerushalayim. We also played a Kahoot game with Yom Yerushalayim trivia and, of course, enjoyed delicious pizza from POP’s Bar & Grill.

It was a real highlight to spend the Shabbat with Rabbi Glasser. Many of us came together for an enjoyable Oneg where he spoke and led meaningful discussions. Shabbat day was especially inspiring, as Rabbi Glasser addressed a range of important and timely topics for the Jewish community.

We also enjoyed a delicious lunch catered by Amy Beth Lehman from A & R catering.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers—Judy Maizels, Aliza Asher, Keith, and Sara Rakofsky—for all your hard work in making everything run so smoothly. And thank you to everyone who joined and helped create another meaningful and memorable Shabbat together as a community.

We had a wonderful time last Thursday at our Spring Session of Parsha and Pizza! Dr. Junger gave an engaging and insightful talk about the history of how the State of Israel came to be, which everyone really enjoyed.

It was so special to be together again after a long winter, reconnecting and learning in such a warm atmosphere. And of course, the highlight for many was getting back into the spirit with a lively game of Kahoot!
