Old Parsonage of Andrew Tribble The log parsonage of Pioneer Kentucky preacher Andrew Tribble 1794, friend to Thomas Jefferson

History and current life of the old log parsonage built by pioneer Baptist minister Andrew Tribble in1794. Tribble was a friend who influenced the thinking of Thomas Jefferson. In Madison County near Tates Creek, Tribble built the "Stone Meeting House”; this church burned in 1850 and the congregation moved to Boonesborough Road to build the Republic Church and later the Tates Creek Baptist Churc

h. The parsonage was moved to Boonesborough Road and reconstructed into a Kentucky History Museum by Nathan Amster in 1967.

Come experience Mary Todd Lincoln September 13 at 2:00 pm. All tickets are $15 at the door.

I stopped outside of Frankfort today at the farm where Mary Todd spent her summers. It was the Summer House of her father Robert Todd. The house sadly was demolished in the 1940s. Buena Vista was the name of the Farm.

I can only find a very bad photograph of the house when it was in disrepair. This is why we must preserve our history.

George Rogers Clark was the son of John Clark.

John Clark was the brother of Elizabeth Clark who was Andrew Tribble’s grandmother.

Elizabeth Clark had married Peter Tribble.
Peter Tribble was the father of George Tribble.
George was the father of Andrew

I guess this makes Andrew Tribble and George Rogers Clark SECOND COUSINS?
